“Gangs Of Wasseypur” has become point of discussion all over the web. With conflicting statements coming from makers and trade experts, public stands divided too. After 1st weekend in tune of 10 cr plus which was DEFINETILY poor keeping in mind so much promotion through Cannes to strong word of mouth from critics.
Film was expected to fall on Monday and film obliged with quite steep fall especially taking in account poor opening numbers. Film is not doing well quite strangely in main north part of country with bigger centers like UP, Bihar and Delhi registering horrible numbers with few cancelled shows at places. Film collected 1.45 cr nett as per early estimates on Monday and this is 50% fall from Friday.
Now it is clear that GOW is not “Paan Singh Tomar”, it is not trending well and even high end multiplexes fell considerably. Film is looking forward for 16-17 cr nett week one and that is simply pathetic from 1000 screens.
