Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 grossed around 7-7.50 crore nett on day one as the film did well in parts of India but not so good in other parts. The collections are best in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and CI but collections in Delhi/UP and East Punjab are slightly lower than Yamla Pagla Deewana while Rajasthan and CI are similar to part one.
The film has been hugely affected by the super success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which has meant that Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is not really a solo release and probably cost the film at least 2 crore in terms of opening day collections.
Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 will need good growth over the weekend to come out with a decent weekend total. Yamla Pagla Deewana grossed around 23 crore nett in its first weekend and it is looking same range for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 failed to grow on Saturday as collections dropped around 10%. The collections on Saturday were 6.25-6.50 crore nett with collections down in most circuits.
The film has collected around 13.50 crore nett in two days and will probably collect 21-22 crore nett over its first weekend which is lower than Yamla Pagla Deewana.the first two day business of Yamla Pagla Deewana is as follows
Friday – 7 crore approx
Saturday – 6.25-6.50 crore approx

it seems YPD2 will end its lifetime collections with around 40 cr…
but have to finally say this the way BOI is changing their collections after every report it seems..
BOI is going to get finished soon and we will have to rely on Producers number after BOI is finished……

akki fans vl keep celebrating the 15 cr opening of RR for their whole lyf bcoz they knw vry well dat no other akki film will take dat kinda opening for the rest of their lyf… RR opened well due to many factors like remake, prabhu dewa, masala songs, action… chalo maan liya akki ki wajah se opening achchi huwi thi to k786 ke tym kya huwa tha..it had all good factors going in its favour… akki films ko achchi opening milna is like a leap year which comes only once in 4 years…

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 grossed a low 21.50 crore nett in its first weekend. The figures were slightly lower than its predecessor Yamla Pagla Deewana. The film failed to show any worthwhile growth over the weekend as it grossed 7 crore nett on Friday, 6.50 crore nett on Saturday and 8 crore nett on Sunday.
The film managed average business in places like East Punjab, Delhi city and Rajasthan. Other areas under performed, even some places in the North did not perform too with a centre like Gurgaon having weekend figures which were lower than films like Chasme Baddoor and Jolly LLB and recording just 35% occupancy for the weekend.
Rajasthan was the only circuit where it beat the business of Yamla Pagla Deewana but that is due to the fact that the desert state is tax free now which was not the case in early 2011 when Yamla Pagla Deewana released.

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 grossed around 3.50-3.75 crore nett on Monday as it held up well in Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Rajasthan while other circuits dropped more than 50% than Friday.
Although the all India drop is around 50% from Friday which is decent for a Monday, the problem is that Friday was not that strong. The film has grossed around 25 crore nett in four days and is likely to finish the week at around 31-32 crore nett.
The business of the film is likely to finish 25-30% less than Yamla Pagla Deewana which released in 2011.
