Shah Rukh Khan— the name itself is a brand. And the King of Bollywood never stops adding new names to his endorsement list.
The owner and the brand ambassador of Kolkata IPL team — Kolkata Knight riders, Khan is now adding another big project to his endorsement ‘brandwagon’. This time, with IPL season being in full swing, SRK is all set to endorse a 1000 crore project — Prayag Film City. This project will support Indian film industry as well as the tourism industry.
A report in Times of India quoted Shah Rukh Khan saying ‘I belong to the industry and projects like this build its future; so I’m very happy to be the ambassador of Prayag Film City.’
Built on 2,700 acres, Prayag Film City at Chandrakona, West Midnapore, 165 kms from Kolkata in West Bengal, is a mega size integrated film city complex and a one-stop entertainment center.
Designed by famous art director Nitish Roy, it will be inaugurated on 15 April, 2012.
The Managing Director of Prayag group, Avik Bagchi said ” We are delighted to understand that this mega project comes up just at this juncture when the entire film industry looks up to better facilities, comfort and convenience in order to create and showcase more quality products worldwide.”
The Film City is also a representation of the humble approach and a demonstration of the state’s visionary ability to become a prominent destination as a tourism hub, he added.
