Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says his longstanding “disagreements” with Salman Khan will not come to an end courtesy a film, a filmmaker or an actress. And neither would it be on a public platform.
The two Bollywood icons, who did films like “Karan Arjun” and “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” together, had a major fight in 2008 at Salman’s then girlfriend, Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash.
Even as Katrina hopes to produce a movie featuring Shah Rukh and Salman, SRK says it’s not going to happen – not at anyone’s behest.
“My thing is that we had a little bit of personal issue. This is not the first time. It was four years ago and it had been before. We (Salman) have been very close for 20 years and even more. From the time I came, I respect his family and the fact that they gave me so much of love. I can never be disrespectful about that. Having said that, we have grown together.”
“We have certain things similar and certain things which we completely disagree on. So, at this point of time we are at that plain of disagreement and there might come a time when these things will get resolved, not resolved… but it will never be on a public platform. It will be a personal thing,” Shah Rukh said at an event in New Delhi.
He is assured that “it will not be if a producer, director casts me in a film, even if it is Katrina Kaif.”
“It will never get resolved if two or three people came in between and say ‘resolve it’… I don’t think a film is going to bring us together and resolve anything,” added Shah Rukh.
He says people must stop expecting to see the two actors together as it “looks like a Yash Chopra hero and heroine have got separated.”
“It can be that we board the same plane and start chatting, but not for a film. But I don’t think it will happen now. We don’t really sit and think of it,” added King Khan, who was at the summit with Katrina, one of the leading ladies of his latest release ” Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

No. But they never parted ways for long. he works with aamir now and helps aamir select scripts in AKP .
When u cant forgive and forget *a close collegue/friend* even after more than 2-3 years …there is definitely a woman involved.
besides, enmity in brothers is a different thing than enmity in friends.
Brother’s can go against each other for long time – in fact a lifetime – for minute dispute over pride/property.

Both him and salman are very open about their differences. mostly stars hide these things even if they are arch rivals.

None should be led to believe that this whole debate is on conservational values.It certainly aint. Personally I think kissing or even topless scenes in mainstream films is a very normal thing and the sooner it happens in bw ,the better. 😉
As FS said, its about hypocrisy.The debate is about how srk used to pitch himself as that family man with conservative values of the Indian society ,used to look down upon those films and stars who did it and how eventually he failed to a trend. I mentioned same thing in my review too.
He not only kissed but also did a nude scene in Maya Memsaab. May be Gauri was pissed and he put in the no kissing clause. But to me what is more weird is that he kissed a guy in MNIK and even in KANK. If you have a problem with kissing girls why the hell would you be ok kissing a guy. And in both those scenes there was no script requirement – neither was he playing gay nor was the other guy gay.
The kiss in JTHJ was nothing that scandalous (definitely not in the Emraan Hashmi league) to hurt his family audience. Kiss scenes have become quite common in Bollywood movies and even 3 Idiots the biggest family blockbuster had one.
well,when you say “its against my principles” , indirectly you refer to that act as being beneath you. There is no need to be a saint. Anyway an actor doesnt become a family man or saint by having a no kissing clause.If at all, he comes across as gay. Kisses became common in bw much ago.srk should have done this long back 😀 doing it now is a sign of desperation.
And finally, filmstars should be seen only on screen.
Over analyzing their personal life, psychology is an useless exercise.
Whoever does it over and over again and indulges in these gossips is a kitty party lady for me.
