First Bhootnath was Above Average by BOI … certainly not flop by any standard !!

There are two major reason for its sequel :

      1. They had great script in hand.
      2. First Bhoothnath has very good following among kids, Moserbeer earned good amount on DVD sales and T-series knew this.

tmk is a semihit. ra1 is a hit by boi.so ra2 should be made? 😉

no bw film ever has a great script.i have stopped such expectations long ago. dvd sales really? can that ever be a motivation for a sequel? in the day and age of torrent and youtube?

Can u show me which trade had Bhoothnath as flop ?? Fact is it was not flop as said by u above and I clarified it.

Anyways … if script is good, movie is good .. then why not sequel ?? We will see when movie comes out .. from promo it looks like good story.

No one lost money on Bhootnath – but no one made money on it either. Sequel to it is risky as far as box office goes. As for the film, it seems a cheesy and loud deal going bby this trailer.

BOI verdicts? They are like loud smelly farts from an elephant’s fatass.

Very good promo. Much better than first one. Very funny and topical … Now bhoot will fight election 🙂

The timing of release date is good, but sad to see Bachchan defending his overacting here as ‘Mumbai mein chalta hai’ or something of that sort.
Isnt it time for him to retire both from acting and that wig of his?

Why retire if he still does great job ?? Go and watch Aarakshan and Satyagraha .. he did brilliant job and got fabulous reviews from critics for his acting. Bhootnath is over the top character, he did the needful.

He was good in Arakshan; Satyagraha was decent – but this is looking bad …

Amitabh as a ghost also suffers same weakness as he was having 20 years back. (a -la Saudagar, main azad hu type buffoonery)

Acting too stylish and ‘mannered’ and looking and maintaining the look on his face and actions as if he is not part of the people at ground level.

Infact not from 20years but from the beginning of his career. I agree with Nana and Naseer on their views on his acting.
