Lata’s most fav 20 tracks of her choice are mine too. Interestingly there is not a single song in her list past 1982 (dikhayi diye yun) most are from golden era (50s-60s).
Past that I like her work only in Lekin. Nice choice here Sputnik. All songs of Lekin are masterpiece.
Thanks. I think her voice deteriorated in the late 80s and 90s. I used to hate her voice in songs of Darr/DDLJ but liked her voice in songs of Lekin/Libaas/MayaMemsaab/HAHK or Paani Re from Maachis.
Very good choices. Don’t like Ja re ud jaare panchi, Bada natkhat hai, O Beqarar Dil Ho Chuka Hai that much.
Tere Bina Zindagi is great from Aandhi but I would pick Is Mod Se Jaate Hain if its for Lata’s voice. I like the way she sang that song.
I am surprised she did not pick Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon.
