i can only think of barah aana, Mumbai meri jaan , black Friday and dhobi that to name a few….in terms of not having usual song and dance trappings
btw omg is most commercial film with all the trappings. At least pk didn’t have an item song out of the way and it didn’t cater to audience who believe god is really there
lagaan has 6 songs , pk has 4 songs . lagaan is a love triangle with cricket as backdrop. pk is a indo-pak “aman ki aasha” bullshit pretending to be a straight -shooter like OMG.
Counting songs s is not the answer. These were way more typical than a mubai meri jaan or a black Friday or a dhobi ghat
you dont understand the reason behind counting songs. there are so many songs bcos there is a big romnace track in both of them. most bw films fail to outgrow from love stories. aamir khan has never given a hit without falling for these trappings. when he did try (dg) it was a disaster.

OMG was excellent. No two opinions about that. PK was really good in parts although the poor climax brought it down a notch or two. Lagaan was a fantastic movie for its time and its genre. It seems overlong now but still is a well directed movie for the underdog genre.
Sounds bakwaas. Expected a sincere movie on anti corruption. Lets wait and watch till the trailers are out.
