Liked this movie as well as Aditya and Madhuri in it when I saw it back in the 90s.
Good song usually Hindi movie songs 3 to 5 minutes but this song length is above 10 mints well written by Javid Akthar.

Today (16th Sept) is MS Subbalakshmi’s 96th birth anniversary.
Every day for past 30+ years or so this song has given me hope at 5AM or so (well…whenever I was awake that is !! ) .. (though I am not a spiritual person…this is out of this world !!)

Love this song. Did not know that it was sung by MS Subbalakshmi. Waking up to this song every morning is like a ritual in south Indian states.

I dont know about north but this song has lit up my morning in all 5 states – including Maharashtra (including northern districts of it like aurangabad/parbhani etc) to all 4 southern states. Its wonderful experience to listen to this in early morning. Having learnt Sanskrit for 8 years I understand the meaning of it – but I don’t like or believe in the chanting of some shlokas….but the the effect this creates (listening to it) in the early morning is something to be experienced!
