filmy( a NG member)has reportedly seen JTHJ and as per his statement the story of the movie in Nutshell is like this;
Srk(an Indian) lives in London and falls in love with Kat.When he expresses his love to her,she breaks his heart by saying”we are just good friends and nothing more”.He leaves London and comes back to India and joins Indian Army.He meets Anushka who works for a channel and falls in love with her once more in his life but she reponds in same manner like Kat.His heart breaks again.But one day both girls realise that they actually loved him and rush to meet him but Srk is dead till then.filmy has liked the move and rated it 7 out of 10.He said it is a good movie though not a great one
filmy was right when ra one released. But this is a sms that is spreading like anything. dr. nick of NG has written this comment many days back.

This is my first comment on this forum looking 4wd to have some fun n gud discussions here on one of the passions of my life i.e movies! 🙂 I have been visiting NG n Tanqeed for quite some time now as a result i already knw some members here albit not one to one ! Am big fan of some of them Milind sir, Sputnik Babaji’s humour also Serenzy is my Favourite cos of his refreshing attitude towards movies ! looking 4wd to have some sound talk wid some members here whom i ha been following since long time 🙂 Also i would like to make it clear that i dnt like infact i Hate negative talks ind name of being a fan so i assure u dat as far as possible i wud try n keep things as they r now n not spoil it 🙂 Thanx!
Now coming to this big anticipated clash I am expecting both movies to do well. Though JTHJ has slight advantage IMO cos of obvious reasons like screens it will get plus yashji’s factor will pour in people initially and srk in his strength area has rarely gone wrong so xpect it to do well ( I expect it to gross around 130 in India) SOS on the other hand is generating good buzz and i feel it will be lapped big time by single screens(expect it to do arnd 100-110 in India) so i think we are gonna have two good successes this diwali ! 🙂
Filmy review of JTHJ is completly seems fake ,because there is not any screening held anywhere ,also not any premier, even I think editing in at process,so how can it possible?

Many are Certainly Underestimating a SOS here…It’s Not tht it will Breakthru JTHJ but Tagda wala Competetion toh Pakka Dega!
I think SOS is no competition for JTHJ.The later hasn’t slight edge over former but a big edge as Srk is bigger star by miles than Ajay Devgan,Yash ji’s last film and that too after death,a fresh script as compared to SOS which is one more remake plus such movies are comming regularly since last few years and above all Srk is doing a romantic movie after long time.
@serenzy yes serenzy ! I think 17 days r enuf for both d movies to do some huge business if appreciated! Maybe it will lead to non-historic opening but in long term if they r gud potential are immense to do 120+ for both movies..but yes JTHJ has some clear advantage over SOS.
@prince umm u have a point prince but ajay too has grown by leaps n bounds n if you throw in MASALA factor in there then you have a huge product in your hands plus dialogue promos r looking gud/hillarious. So i think both will do well widout whitewashing each other.
I just read some news articles claiming some bollywood producers advising Ajay to move SOS release date. I dont understand one thing — If srk dances in a show the very next day (or 2 days) after Yash’s death – its being praised as “show must go on” etc (and what srk did was not wrong at all IMO )…. And then why tell Ajay to keep mourning / show respect and move release date?
absolutely sir ! why we always seem to 4get that apart 4m actors many more ppl r attached to a movie!! so many fate’s at stake, lots of hard work and years of hard work…its just not easy to postpone thngs especially in case of movies, it can lead to huge losses !! Show simply must go on..

Agree. That is why I always oppose piracy – even if the work(film) is copied. 🙂 (two wrongs dont make a right)

Ajay Devgan was always there and if i am not wrong,he was at the same position.It was due to his health problem only that he was away from limelight.My point here is Srk is miles ahead of him whether he has grown or not.If you look at worldwide basis then there is no competition for him in stardom.Imagine,Srk is comming in a romantic movie after Veer zaara,so discussion is over.People have seen enough of Brainless,South Indian masala since last few years thanks to Salman,Akshay,Ajay Devga etc.So JTHJ will be like a fresh cold breeze in summer for people.
yes prince there’s no comparison of stardom of srk and ajay, I was talking in context of wat’s been happng in recent times where perception wise ajay has been one hit after another and srk struggling (perception wise! ) but yes i fully agree wid ur point dat a good romantic movie is need of the hour and it can do wonders ! But saying that sos is looking good too so i think JTHJ>SOS but it wont b a whitewash 🙂 cheers!
Well I am not good while predicting BO collection but still I have some estimates. I think the combined total nett of both movies will be around 275 cr with the ratio of 65:35. Don’t know which movie will be on either side.
@mate agree wid ur figure of 275 mate. There’s enuf scope n time for both d movies to achieve that much but 65:35 seems a bit too much hevily loaded on 1 side, ofcourse it can happen but that wud mean that other one have been disliked/rejected…which IMO wont happen both r looking good to me. Anyways exciting times ahead 🙂
