The trailer of this movie is very similar to the trailer of Rowdy Rathore in overall feel. The dialogue delivery is slightly better here compared to Akshay’s hammy “Dont angry me!” and “Aa! Aa na!”. Of course, action suits Akshay better while Shahid is trying hard to fit in.
Rowdy Rathore – the movie – turned out to be very entertaining and much better than its trailer projected. I doubt this one will be able to repeat that feat. But calling it Policegiri 2 is uncalled for. If anything, it looks like Rowdy Rathore 2. Also, calling this way OTT (as compared to RR) is like saying Poonam Pandey exposes too much as compared to Sherlyn Chopra. 😛

Shahid looks to be doing ok in the emotional/angry scenes here (except maar maar maar scene) and he was ok even in PPNH but the problem is that he has no physique or personality. He is too skinny and short and it looks funny. Just like PPNH here also he seems to be doing comedy too which makes the masala action scenes even more unbelievable.
Yeah, they should have gone for pure action instead of mixing it with comedy. Shahid is trying hard but doesnt have the physique or image as yet to pull this off. We will see how he does in the movie releases. However, I feel it is better he is trying a Rambo Rajkumar now instead of a Teri Meri Kahani. At least, he is doing something different visa a vis his image. Movie may not turn out to be great shakes, but certainly open up some new roles and genres for Shahid if he does well.

Agree with Baba. I dont see how this action is “way too much OTT” as compared to RR, Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Khiladi 786, Singham. All were OTT as much as this one. In fact, this action is slightly better than the ridiculous jeep-chappal scene in Khiladi 786 or the fake, ineffective entry scene of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2.
good one.. liked the trailer not bad.. wud luv to c shahid in tru masala avataar.. bt the film promo sticks with too much hangover of rowdy rathore and salman movies… nd shahid tries to act a lot like srk.. still with such negative things, wudv luv to c shahid’s movies and wants his movies to do well at the bo..
look who is talking abt OTT action.. it seems akki fans haven’t seen his previous films which were just crapers at the box office….
still this looks better than any of akki’previous flops or i will say hit as propagated by akshay saaar fans..
