In today’s times when satellite deal values judge buzz on forthcoming movies and a barometer of star power, UTV has inked deals worth almost 150 crore for their recent and forthcoming releases!
The movies include recently released hits like Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Paan Singh Tomar and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Barfi!, Heroine, Rowdy Rathore and Joker. They are currently negotiating yet another deal that will include a new slate of their movies including Race 2, ABCD, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and Ghanchakkar!
What’s more – these satellite deals are only for a seven-year period unlike a few other recently concluded deals in which movies were sold for as long 11 to 13 years. Says Siddharth Roy Kapur CEO, UTV Motion Pictures, “At UTV we have consistently focused on quality, which reflects in the confidence that satellite channels have in doing deals with us for our forthcoming movies, as they are guaranteed great content.”
