Tumbbad – The Writing Process

The writing of the film started with a simple rule – Everything would be logical with no to minimal jump scares. The process of writing continued even through the shooting and editing, as at times, the scenes had to be rewritten just to suit the visuals or the constantly evolving language of the film. With some 60-70 drafts written over a span of 18 years, there’s a story behind almost every dialogue, every scene and even the climax which was quite different from what eventually made it to the film!

Catch Mitesh Shah, Adesh Prasad and Rahi Anil Barve talk about everything that transpired behind the scenes & how every detail mattered while writing Tumbbad.
