First I was not sure if the post is sarcastic or real. I am still confused. Btw the “Bewafa bar” song is really good. I think there can be a separate post on Sunjay DUtt bar/drinking songs – so much of them !!

      • its the way you look at it 😉 i watch all the songs that i have posted regularly for various reasons.say jackies staring at karishma with his mouth open in the baaz song, aamirs wonderful expressions in mela, hrithiks gayish bharatnatyam in yaadein out of the blue in a sad song, ranbirs towel dance in saawariya and even great lyrics like the no touching no touching of himesh and so on.

Lyrics from Chandni Chowk to China is the best of the lot.

    • those lyrics were written when akshay was at his peak after continuous hits from 2007 till SIK. he was very sure of himself when he signed CCTC. i remember its poster was out just a few days after the film was signed by akshay. CCTC brought his downfall and to this date he has been struggling to match the level of 2007.

Some other fantastic lyrics and situational songs:

That Shiva song was a big hit in Telugu. Even though the lyrics are almost same it just hasn’t translated well into Hindi.

LOL on that Julie Julie song. I probably liked it as a kid 🙂

Shankar’s movies have always had this songs where some lines are funny/cool and some are plain weird.

My most fav lyrics from Rahman.

The line “teri galiyon me koi mard na Chhodunga.., aurat bhi na chhodunga” is so epic, I doubt even likes of Sultanpuri, Gulzar can even came close such an expression in love.

    Telephone Dhun Mein

    Latka Dhikha Diya Tumne

    • very good and interesting choices ritz. yes sanjay dutt has many songs in bar and some are genuinely good and some are even better in the other sense. shankars films dubbed songs are always hilarious. but i like tune of this song. telephone dhun also had funny lyrics

    • ““teri galiyon me koi mard na Chhodunga.., aurat bhi na chhodunga” it definitely is epic because there is always a fear of homogenous sex even if you counter the heterogenous sex option. so even aurat has to wiped out after the mards so thta the only possiblity of making love is with kamal. actually he should have added “janwar” in the lyrics too because bestial sex can still be an option

LOL. True. And I remember Manisha had lots of pets in the movie. Especially a Dog. 😉

Good post and good choices. LOL. Had not seen some of them like Andarlu Mandarlu – it is epic.

Used to like Zeher Hai Ke and Dil Mera Churane Laga in 90s though found Sunny’s dancing always funny. Sunny and Karisma’s dancing is epic in Yaara O Yaara.

    • yes andarlu mandarlu is epic. a lot due to its cast as well. models are the last people who are comfortable doing that kind of song and its funny that most of them in that song are models. John who probably hardly speaks in hindi is made to act like a street tapori and he is not even convinced with himself while doing the moves and lipsyncing. same for others.most of the models before coming to films say they they find bw dancing very stupid and they would never do it.but once they enter film industry, bollywood takes its own revenge on them 😉
