Man of Steel trailers keep getting better and better!
The Family trailer shows how little americans think – they have so much diversity (ppl from different countries and cultures) but they shell out same old jokes on french etc. Its a continent but one-dimensional culture and lifestyle across all the states.
I am excited about this new Superman movie. But the trailers are bit too serious for me. Is it because the superhero does not wear a mask?
Spiderman series (with Toby) was the best superhero series for me. I loved the batman of Nolan too. But comeon, you cant be that serious on Superman – ofcourse I have not read the comics. Maybe Rex can shed more light on this – but I have a feeling that these guys are making it too serious affair just for the sake of it…there should be more fun and lightheartedness in a superhero movie.
My fav superhero film is TDK without any doubt, its a classic and its ending is a masterpiece. it epitomised the essence of a real superhero. Nolans superhero is not really a “superhuman” who flies or bashes 100 ppl in one go,he is a “human” who has the finest humanly virtues.
TDK is mine personal favorite too. I love Spiderman series for the moral values it teaches kids and overall it was a series where stories were well told. The storytelling may not be at Pixar level but its close to it.

specially the peter parkar angle the way they have protrayed it is best i have ever seen in a superhero movies his different shades connents very well with kids ,teenagers and adults alike which itself is rare.!!

I end up liking most Super hero movies 😛 the worst of all super hero is “Captain America” – the name itself is pathetic so is the film.
Just because Iron Man 2 and 3 were crappy superhero movies that kinda follows the ‘masala fun’ of Bollywood, does not mean all Superhero movies are supposed to be like that.
MOS is looking kickass at this point! And the previous spiderman series was more of chick flicks.

These folks should atleast change the music director. Hans Zimmer music is almost same for Batman 3 films, inception and now this.
And he has done a pretty bad job in this one IMO.
Anyways I will be watching this in cinemas on 14th or 15th – I am a fan of superhero movies and so is my son.
Sorry, but Hans Zimmer is the perfect composer for this film. How can batman and superman sound the same when they are completely different characters? Zimmer has used an elaborate drum orchestra alongwith pedal steel guitars to invoke a contemplative feeling of the American midwest where Clark Kent grew up. The soundtrack samples are out there and judging from them it’s clear that he has distanced himself from the two notes of Batman. The Krypton theme, Clark Kent theme and General Zod’s theme are totally different than Joker’s theme(Why So Serious?) or Molossus from Batman Begins. Also Michael Shannon seems intimidating and badass as Zod. Can’t believe it’s the same guy who played the goofy white supremacist from BadBoys 2.I hope that David Goyer’s script and Snyder’s action chops compel the marvel guys to up their game after the forgetful and formulaic films they are offering.Looking at Superman fight Zod and his cohorts I felt that’s how the action in Thor should have been presented.After all he’s a demigod and it makes sense for him to fight faster than humans. Also the fact that there is nothing really at stake in the marvel films. Iron Man Three came close to raising the stakes, but then they were nullified by the overdose of humour. Don’t feel how anyone can say it’s dark.Because it’s Nolan? How is the journey to find your place in the world dark? Imagine yourself as an alien who has to hide his abilities for thirty years fearing that you may not be accepted by the people around you. I don’t think it’s dark. Snyder set a benchmark for action with 300, here’s hoping he does the same with Man of Steel.

Yeah, the trailer 3 music called ‘An Ideal of Hope’ has become a rage in the U.S. with orchestras in schools and colleges playing it. It’s actually longer on the soundtrack.The nokia trailer music is probably titled ‘Zod’s Arcade’ on the album. Also the soundtrack contains a track called ‘Hans’ Original Sketchbook’ which is ’29 min’ long.
The early reviews of Man of steel aint that good …
Snyder and Nolan seems to have rattled some feathers here with their approach to Supes, from the complaints raised by the critics i think i am going to love this.
The fans of chick flicks or bollywood masala may not like this at all …

Agree with Rex on “leo seems to be acting the same character nowadays, atleast the basic outline of all the characters he plays nowadays almost feels identical.” and “his stock expressions (same smirks , same frowns & yawn even same damn haircut in every damn movie)”
I think you can take Leo from one movie of his and put in another movie of his and it won’t make any difference.
