The Wonder Years – One of the best TV Shows Ever

Today is Fred Savage’s birthday who starred as Kevin Arnold in the TV Show The Wonder Years. I think this is one of the best TV Shows ever and arguably the best coming of age TV Show. The series depicted the life of a boy in a typical American suburb from 1968 to 1973, covering his ages of 12 through 17. Here is the first episode.

Reminds me of an upcoming movie called Boyhood . Its directed by Richard Linklater and its a 12 year long project that will finally release in 2014. It tells the story of a boy from 6 years of age to 18 years and interestingly, it will capture the actual actor in all those years. Its in the last year of filming (2013). Stars Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette

Used to watch this in the 90s. It wasn’t star world then as I remember. Just Star TV.
They had interesting serials. Remington Steel which had Pierce Brosnan as a comic detective. It used to come on fridays. And then Ally McBeal on Wednesday. Ally McBeal is also a highly rated serial. Surprised to find it all time highest rated serials in US.
