      Agree.

      Good trailer. Liked it. Irfan looks solid as always. Nimrat also seems to be acting well. Nawaz seems to have a smaller role.

      I think the bgm starting at 40 seconds sounds like this one (from 30 sec) which I just posted yesterday in the Best Opening Credits/Title Sequences in Hollywood Movies post.

    And this movie seems like a true Mumbai film. No other city in India can have this sort of story setting – a different love story. (With the Dabbawalas angle)

    @Agree Sputnik,

    Nice observation. 🙂

    The music in the Bombay Talkies opening credits also appears in Wes Anderson’s Darjeeling Limited, which had Irrfan’s cameo. Judging from the trailers, Nimrat seems a bonafide actress, rather than the glam dolls who consider appearing in item songs and flaunting size zero as their priority. She was good in Love Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana as well.

      Yeah had read about the Bombay Talkie opening music being reused in Darjeeling Limited. Looks like they used another song “Typewriter Tip, Tip, Tip” from the same movie. Most of the Darjeeling Limited seems to have been reused from other Indian movies.

      I can’t seem to recollect Nimrat from Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana even though her character’s name Muskaan sounds familiar from the movie.

    @sputnik
    Wes Anderson stated in an an interview how much he was influenced by Ray and Ravi Shankar’s music. Darjeeling Limited was in a way his tribute to Ray.

    Nimrat was in a flashback scene lying sick on a bed with a young Daarji when he discovers the Chicken Khurana recipe. She’s the one who gives the dish it’s name.

      Ah remember her now. Thanks.

      Agree that “She was good in Love Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana as well.”

    eagerly waiting for this one…
    the trailer is gud, the narration has a simplicity and honesty which should touch people’s hearts. the BGM is awesum, conveys the feel of the movie nicely

    everything is good. but for me interesting thing is Dabbawala don’t do mistake, sigma ^ rating, now how they will show this. or they can show like this address given by food maker may be wrong.

    • phoenix 11 years ago

      Dabbawala’s don’t mistake. All that six sigma certifies news is world famous. But this is just another movie. If a movie is based on 100% reality, it would be a documentary …
