Looks typical OTT masala movie. After Amitabh I don’t think there is anyone better than Sunny when it comes to playing that angry guy roles. The dialogues are not as good as they were in his 90s movies though.

i dont want to stereotype but its kind of true.they have this gullibility of supporting anything that celebrates/hypes OTT punjabi/sikh characters even if that means supporting craps like SIK and SOS. they seriously love the ridiculous and retarded gadar hand pump scene and take extreme pride in it.at the same time they are rather indifferent to a more realistic and subtle portrayal of a sikh (rocket singh)

There like 20 million sikh population here in India and out of that less than 1% watche movies in cinemas. Do your Maths and see if that much number can make a movie blockbuster.
SIK, SOS etc worked becoz they were typical masala movies like Gadar, Dabangg, Ready etc. And the only reason Rocket Singh failed becoz it was a sensible movie without any item numbers or OTT action scenes.
Having a Sikh hero doesnt mean that Sardars will go in hoards to see it. Though it will create some curiosity among non sikh audinece to see their fav actor as Sikh.

This is my most awaited movie now. Sunny deol and Anil sharma combo should be fantastic (though sunny-Santoshi combo would have been the best)..I just hope they don’t have too many slow-motion scenes…The directors dont understand that the slow motion scenes piss the audience ofF.

Nah. 90s Nana was on par and at times better than Sunny when it came to berserker rage.
I am not a sardar and I love the handpump scene..but to be honest I love it because I love watching angry Sunny Deol bashing up the bad guys..It has nothing to do with him portraying a sardar in that role.

I think Baba may be generalizing a bit more but he is not completely wrong..I have seen many sardars swooning over the mention of sardar in a movie…SIK is a classic example..Actually its not just Sardar but many Punjabis in general…I have Sardar friends who dont give a shit about movies like SOS or SIK but even in their families I can find 10 more people who love such movies mainly because someone is wearing a pagdi and doing buffoonery on screen.
However a sunny deol movie is never about just playing a sardar..He is mostly followed for the aggression he portrays on screen.
I agree some Sardars get carried away, but to be very honest we like saradars doing sensible things such as in RS, LAK, gADAR but not the ones shown in SIK or SOS

Stupidest dialogue on this was in Shivaji.
“Pigs attack in bunch… Lion fights alone” (kanna pannigaldan kotumavarun… singham singalada varon.).
And the fact is Lions never hunts and lionesses always attack in bunch.
I think there were some such similar in Singam (Tamil or Hindi dont remember).
My most fav and most sensible I think was “Sarat ghodon pe lagate hai kathor…sero.n pe nahi” from Omkara.
and ritz – in that dialogue sunny is justiying the sacrifices of goats 😉

Its way bad. Like big brother. Liked gadar. I hoped they will come with a better movie. Sunny has my respect nd sad to see movie like this. Last good movie i dnt know wen he did. Waiting santoshi to patch up with him.

rocket singh Ws way low marketed, nd also it had nthing to be perticular abt sardar. Any other guy in that movie will make no difference except prem chopra’s Lil comic things. ND nt only sardar but it happens with indian, they enjoy masala stuff more. ND i also like it if it is like dabang or gadar.

Nana was definitely better as young angry man – against social injustice etc in his choice of films and performances.
