another good film seems to be ruined because of the masala trend. while SAL had a very realistic type approach and sutble acting except amitabh who hammed big time, this seems to be OTT in every department.
People may hate Ramu as much they want , but the best Gansgter/underworld movies to have come out of Bollywood have come from the Ramu Camp:

Trailer is ok. I don’t think its OTT like SOS, RR but it does not look realistic like SAL either. This looks somewhere in between. John Abraham seems to be acting ok but there is too much of Sanjay Dutt’s Vaastav vibe.
Coming to gangster movies Satya was great, Company was good. Did not like Ab Tak Chappan much. Nana was doing his usual acting and I did not like the last scene. I figured out what he would do but the scene went on for so long.

just saw the scene you posted from RR. a third class OTT action from the remake of a C grade south indian film. if only the director knew that the era of slo-mo action scenes is long out of fashion. matrix came in 1999 and it still looks way classy but these stupid telugu filmmakers are still obsessed with that bastardised version of matrix cheoreography. more than 2 mins are wasted on useless dramaticity instead of some hardcore fighting. when you take a star like akshay in an action film,you dont waste him in such trash.poor akshay.

I have seen action right from late 50’s movies to the immediate new one..
and don’t need to learn a thing from ur list…
as if u rate BRUCE WILLIS and .MEL GIBSON as no. 3 and 4…then i know what Action sense u have and it not gonna match mine….
Running after a criminal or shooting him through machine guns is not action…but that’s what a guy who see Hollywood movies for action can say .!!

but for me action is more to do with hand combats(may include swords or other weapons other than gun) coupled with intensity of the Actor, his body movements and sharpness..
but u won’t understand as u consider Aliens series or may be mel gibson Mad man and leathal weapon great action movies..!! 🙂

koi baat nahi 😀 a lot of people were duped into that top action stars post. i myself dont agree with the ranking but it has almost all the actors in the list which deserve to be there. i added akshay too as it was his birthday 😉

Yes Satya and Company were good. Only other RGV film i liked was Shiva. Sarkar was decent.
