I tried to see it once but I felt soooooo bored after 20-minutes or so that I closed it down.

I still have the movie with me and I’ll give it another go, sometime next year!

I love this movie especially the ending. This is about a reality show on a much larger scale and it has lot of philosophical undertones. I consider this Jim Carrey’s best performance and he should have atleast been nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor for this.

Ditto. One of Jim Carrey’s movies where I don’t mind his facial contortions.

ps – So once again I would recommend “the cabin in the woods” which has very similar ending.

Fantastic movie which has high repeat value. And one of the best endings ever.

PS: Serenzy what is your plan for September 2017 and jan 2015. Do you plan to read any novel or see movies or just play guitar during those days.

    Anjanpur,
You see sir contarary to what you think, I’m a very busy guy.
So much so that I haven’t even been able to write about any movie at large in recent months(Not that it matters bcz, Suprabh says that’s not a priority at my age anyway) 😉

On top of that, I am very slow at watching movies/reading novels – Not slow-wala “SLOW” but in a certain sense that I try to – grip the content copletely and study the material as firmly as pssible be it books, movies and now teleserials of the West too(like just yesterday night, I was rewatching VICKY DONOR to check out where YJHD missed out).!

Technically I shud graduate by 2015 and at my pace and the list I’ve with me, I’ll need to live about 150years to complete all that.

Guitar-playing is an amateurish passion of mine…
I’m done with the Basic Chords only till noww and I hope to learn further if and when possible!

Really touching scene from an underrated gem.The movie was a precursor to the onslaught of reality shows we see today. Carrey’s performance stands there with The Majestic. Also Father Kolbe’s Preaching being played adds to the father-son dynamic between Christof and Truman.Chris Nolan even considered him for his Howard Hughes project which got cancelled due to Scorcese’s The Aviator being released around the same period. Unfortunate to see the project cancelled cause Carrey bore a strong resemblance to Hughes. Also Nolan found another equally driven billionaire philanthropist to divert his creativity towards.
