Check out this thrilling final race scene from from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar – one of my all time favorite movies. I know I had started the Scene of the Week series elsewhere with this very scene but Bored’s comment reminded me of this scene. So posting it here for those who may not have seen that post.

Good old days when I used to like Aamir :).. this and Dil hai ki manta nahin are my favourite movies
This and Sarfarosh are the best movies of Aamir from the nineties – both have amazing self life. He also made a bunch of remakes of hollywood hits/classics in the nineties, but they only work in some parts and are average films overall – Dil Hai Ki Mangta Nahin, Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Ghulam, Mann.
Post 2000 – his films overall improved as a whole, but found his acting too emotional to be taken seriously. In every film he has to breakdown and cry and stuff like that – had the same problem when he came on TV to host Satyameva Jayate. It all looks very artificial and forced. His cheekiness is also quite OTT in movies like 3I and DCH. Overall a decent actor, with very good script sense, knows his audience and also how to play them in different ways.
