not good.but I think it stands at second position on cumulative trp of 4.27.Indiatv doesnt give cumulative trp figures.
Yes they don’t give cumulative TRPs but then they are consistent on that. And this can be said to the TRP for the Hindi speaking audience (excluding DD).
I think KBC/Paanchvi Paas came on only one channel. Just Dance came on some regional channel too I think. Even if you add regional cable channel TRPs that’s all right. But adding DD TRP is wrong as that is a completely different audience. I don’t think anybody with cable will watch it on DD.
If you look in the overall context with all the advertising, hype and Aamir’s first entry into television then the TRPs are disappointing.
How many channels it is simultaneously being telecast ??
Last time one content simultaneously telecast in 3 channels and it cloacked a TRP of 39..That was WC final 🙂

How Aamir’s show scores over Oprah’s
Three weeks into his show, Aamir Khan surely seems to have a cult following. While his show may not be as ‘massy’ as Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati or Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum, his clever way appealing to both the hearts and the minds has helped him appeal to the viewers.
While the trade pundits have already slammed the show for not gathering enough TRPs as compared to the other celeb shows, the show still has managed to trend online and has become a talking point.
The obvious comparisons on the first week was that of Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate being similar to the Oprah Winfrey Show, which also spoke about people, social issues and had icon the show. But, with three weeks into the show, Aamir’s way of tackling issues seems to be a better tool than Oprah’s.
Here are a few reasons why:
While Oprah’s sensitive issue-tackling worked, it mainly enjoyed viewership of homemakers and women. Aamir, on the other hand, has generated interest within most sections of the society.
While Oprah’s show discussed victims and their trials, Aamir’s show is trying to be a catalyst. With the final segment allowing viewers to send an SMS to bring about reforms brings in an interactive element with the victim.
Celebrities are not a focus on Aamir’s show. Maybe, the fact that the actor himself is a big brand has worked, but the show doesn’t require celebrity endorsements. Oprah’s show had celebrity guests talking about their personal lives, making it border on the lines of a chat show.

Well this low TRP also reflects how tiny segment of viewership is from twitter. If we go by twitter trending and online discussions, it seems SJ is most successful show of last 3-4 years. But actual TRP is just opposite.
Satyamev Jayate is again not in the Top 10 shows of the week. Its No 5 in the Top shows of Star Plus for the week of 13/05/2012-19/05/2012. But the TVR for the 2nd episode (child sex abuse) has fallen from 2.4 to 2.11

Its ratings increased but rank went down from 5 (last week) to 6 (this week) but the good thing is that its ratings increased. This was the dowry episode so the medical one might get even better ratings as it was appreciated by almost everyone.
The “rank” in above table is second column I think its overall rank (in overall channel list).
I was talking about the rank in the top 10 star plus shows. Yes the overall rank has gone up from 25 to 17. First week it was 23.
The opening ceremony by Salman, KK & PC recorded the lowest ever ratings of 1.1.
Fourth episode (medical one) fell from 2.32 to 2.24. It is still 17th on all shows and 6th on Top 10 shows of Star Plus.

No wonder indiantelevision.com stopped giving TRP ratings report from June 2 onwards after this controversy. I believe Satyamev Jayate was major factor in Doordarshan to take this step.
