In today’s age when romance and romantic films have become fast and modern, and not necessarily in a good way, here comes a film that tries to transport you to the world where pining in love is the language of the romance. “Hamari Adhuri” Kahani” is a film that on paper itself can give an idea how out-dated and clumsy the love story is. There have been love stories off-late where the emotion was deep and connective, like that runaway blockbuster “Aashiqui2” but here in “Hamari Adhuri Kahaani”, the love birds have no such sparkle of intense love.
In this film, the love leads talk only in philosophical dialogues, and such poor dialogues, that it’s embarrassing to see someone of Vidya Balan’s calibre deliver them. The scenes are unintentionally funny and the characters are juvenile.
Barring couple of scenes and some good songs with the title track standing out, there’s nothing more left in the film to talk about. Yes, a film that is stuffed with some good actors is not good enough to talk about the actors in the film.
It’s a yawn-inducing film and will leave you exhausted even at only 130 minutes of runtime.
Rating – 1.5/5

Btw Sputnik, Whenever there are lots of comments (100 plus comments), then teh comments are divided in two pages. But I am able to go to only the second page. When I click on Page “1”, it takes me to 2 only. Even when I hit the “previous” button, it still takes me to 2.
