you didnt give me credit for finding the link :3 just cried watching this long farewell speech at wankhede. it beat even the “beautiful city” scene in TDKR!
I had made the post with another link which had a longer video (23 min). Then I updated the post with your video 😉

will also add that sachin is not loved and respected everywhere for his stats or his records. records are made by many but not everyone is loved like this. it is nature and dignity he always had on the field that makes him stand out.he has been an inspiration to generations and is the backbone and foundation stone of the current dominant indian batting. he made indians believe in themselves that they can take on any opposition and has left a great batting legacy which i am sure we wil take forward in the future.this is not the end of indian cricket. it is the beginning of generaiton of indian crikcet inspired by the master
So touching and emotional, had goosebumps while watching him speak about his family, in-laws and people from his childhood days. Sachin has certainly made India look most powerful country within the cricket playing nations which India should be proud of. Finally people will stop criticizing him. Good luck to rest of your life Sachin…
Agree. It was a very emotional speech.
Wonderful Speech hats off to Sachin
For me sachin tendulkar is best cricketer i have seen because he has thrived and excelled in three diffferent eras …. i dont rate this era of cricket highly TBH ( due to below par attacks and few other rule changes)…. bt he has seen pak best team ever(90s) , aussie team which is the best ever ODI team ( 2000-2007) best srilankan team … In short he has seen and played with best ever teams for ODIs and Test for every nation( barring a west indies) and has excelled against the best bowling attacks which no other cricketer has ever achieved ….
i dont think anyone else can achieve that feat – they might chase and beat sachin´s record with changing nature of game favouring batsman more …. bt excelling against the best teams of almost all the fello cricket playing nations and best bowling attacks is something i dont think anyone wd be able to achieve
the speech was very emotional and touching .I know sachin since I know cricket . I won’t say I’m his biggest fan or I watched every cricket games he played .in fact I haven’t seen most of his games in last 3-4 years .But still there is a emptiness . I will miss him . When it comes to sports he is second to none for me . it was an absolute pleasure watching him play . And I agree with Baba ji Sachin is more than just this stats and records .The way he played the game is remarkable .I remember buying bat with MRF sticker because sachin used to play with it .He is the first and only celebrity whose poster i bought. For me he was a part of my growing up. And watching sachin play is a memory that I will always cherish .
Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar
The Government has decided to confer the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award, on eminent scientist Prof C.N.R.Rao and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulakr Bharat RatnaThe Prime Minister’s office made the announcement on Saturday afternoon.
“Tendulkar is a living legend who has inspired millions across the globe. During the last 24 years, since the young age of 16 years, Shri Tendulkar has played cricket across the world and won laurels for our country. He has been a true ambassador of India in the world of sports. His achievements in cricket are unparalleled, the records set by him unmatched, and the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by him exemplary. That he has been honoured with several awards is testimony to his extraordinary brilliance as a sportsman,” the PMO statement read.
BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla had, earlier this week, said that there was a demand to give Sachin the honour.
“This demand is there for last 2-3 years. But it cannot be done when someone is playing, there maybe some controversy. Now that he is retiring, we will try that he gets it. Hopefully, the committee (that decides) and the government will consider,” Shukla said.

For every successful cricketer there are 100s of failures. Very Interesting. Ironically his brother’s name was Ajit too.
