Rowdy Rathore has set single screens on fire across the country. The film is recording Bodyguard and Agneepath type numbers at single screens across the country without a holiday.
Bodyguard released on Eid and Agneepath on Republic Day, two of the biggest holidays of the year and Rowdy Rathore is on par with those films at single screens be they in Kanpur, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Jodhpur, Rohtak or anywhere else in the country.
The film is the biggest non holiday opening of all time and if the evening shows remain at this pace it could hit the 15 crore nett mark.
It will also be the biggest Akshay Kumar opening ever beating his highest opener Housefull 2 which collected around 13 crore nett. Mass circuits like Rajasthan and CI are beating Housefull 2 by 35-40% so a huge number is on but the key will be Delhi and Punjab multiplexes which normally drive Akshay Kumar starrers but here they are lagging other areas.

Thanks Sputnik for translating, you were right on money. For the rest of it, to cut it short, Ritz asked my opinion and my opinion below is that people are hungry for a movie after IPL fest. Secondly its being a remake of a “good” entertaining movie, people will not get disappointed. So a decent WOM with a good opening is given for RR.

Pan below 130 cr is a flop as per me and “Vikramanadu” fan RJ also on NG who is currently supporting RR.
The truth is even akki fans are not liking it. Watch out. It will flop and end up below 120Cr only.

15 cr is a pretty ordinary opening day number no matter if its a holiday or non-holiday.Rockstar had opened at 13 cr nett on a non holiday and it was not even a masala film.So if we are to believe that ss is as strong as BG or AP,it means the plexes are far lower for RR.
Babaji, 15 crores is not a small feat for a working day release. Saturday and Sunday combined should be around 32-34 cr. which will give a weekend of around 47-49. If this happens, it would be a phenomenal opening.
its not a small feat considering its an akahsy film,but it is not a very big feat.don2 made 15 cr on a non holiday too i think. let c how muhc jump it gets on sat n sun,it needs big jumps.

Additionally, single screens gives biggest share to distributors compared to multiplexes, so RR is going Singham way, though multiplex collections would be more for RR compared to Singham, due to presence of Akki.
RR will gross more than 150 crores but OUTIM 2 will be the real prestige film for Akshay.
