What about your ‘ test of time’ theory? Neither he nor his movies stood the test of time.
I agree that his movies didnt stand test of time. But his songs? They are iconic.
(and if you dont consider “Akhiyon se goli maare” or “Deewana Mastana” or a “Sandwitch” as crap / forgettable films – then its your choice. For me they were iconic and stood the test of time till now)
