Throught the film ,yash chopra says srk is the “man who never dies”. I think the “Raj” of srk-yrf is dead in this film.He is killed by the same ppl who once created it.The Raj of yash chopra was known to be the Ram of bollywood.But the Raj here is not someone who used to “respect” women or was a family man. He is a horny pervert and is 20 years too old to do the shit he’s been doing in the film. After 20 years in bollywood ,srk may be hated for his romantic roles but atleast they had dignity.This is a sleazefest.There are scenes ( the whole saans song especially)where it looked like just another mahesh bhatt film starring emraan hasmi.I thought rockstar was hornystar but this is atleast 10 steps ahead of that.As i had said earlier too, this was a role for ranbir.I cannot believe Yash chopra okyaed this and what is wrong with srks script sense?
If at all there is a “story” ,then its laughably bad.srk seems to have some curse that he will meet with an accident whenever he is horny lol!
His memory is like a recycle bin. you can retrieve any data as and when you want it. 😀 I dont want to give more spoilers,watch the film if you can for more funny scenes . 😉
All roles are poorly written and all 3 of the actors are in aweful form. Katrina is terribly exposed in this film.srk has sleepwalked through the film. Anushka was below average but her role is just of a sidekick.The army angle is ridiculous and a pure gimmick to give it some masala. srk said in some interview that this will popularise army? Hahahahahahahahahah
There is only one scene in the climax, a small srk monolugue where i saw glimpses of the srk that we knew.
The film is never ending. The first half is so long that atleast thrice I had decided to walk out in the film. My friend wanted to me walk out just after interval rofl.I told him wait till the climax. I want to know if srk dies or not. 😀
and finally ,let me categorically state this – This is yash chopra’s WORST film in his career without any qualification.and this is not an exaggeration by any means. watch the film for yourself and read this again.

First I think Baba ji wrote it just for fun without watching it. Really Is it your genuine review, have you really watched it. If yes then is it too bad to give it 0 rating. I can accept it as your impartial or even partial thoughts, if it would’nt receive rave reviews from all the critics, even the reviews would have been bad, still giving 0 is just ridiculous. A movie that is 8.6 / 10 on IMDB same as Barfi, getting such low from your side, says it all. Though I am yet to watch the movie, this is totally un-acceptable.

Baba Ji, I usually don’t trust on these ‘paid’ critics, but like Utkal (NG), I am a follower of IMDB for long. Not throughout, but more or less their rating is in accordance with the quality of a movie. Hardly I dislike any movie that has great reviews on IMDB. Often If I intend to watch a movie, first I follow IMDB then watch it, and ends upon liking or disliking it according to the rating. So IMO IMDB is a very useful parameter for judging a movie.
imdb is now hijacked by fans. see the ratings of films like tdkr, skyfall.

Just back from Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Well, I did have a suspicion it would be bad , but not this bad.
Cliché piled upon cliché, it was impossible to believe Yash Chopra actually made it.
Poor struggling young man falling in love with a rich man’s daughter, whose father wants her to marry another young dude. Promise made to Jesus. Memory loss and memory regained. In this time and age? For god’s sake, how could you do this to your own legacy, Yashji?
And all this desperation on Sharukh’s part. Mouth to mouth kiss. Lovemaking scenes. And dancing salsa. This Khan just can’t. Why does he even try? And Katrina, who w s showing some signs of learning bit of acting, has regressed ten years in this film. The songs are dated and boring. Not one leaves a mark. Though Katrina was wonderfully spicy in her Ishq Shava number. But the sequence was stretched way too long. And Sharukh spoilt it with his pretense that he can dance. And his romance by numbers has passed sell by date a long back, he should realise that.
The only this that made it somewhat tolerable as Anoushk’as perky presence. Her performance as faultless.
The script and the direction is so bad that Idon’t want tow aste any more timewriting about it after wasting 3 hours on the film.
If a film could be senile and puerile at the same time this is it.

@mate – IMDB is not much reliable for BW movies as say HW movies but still it has a merit. Wait and watch – ratings normalize and show truer picture after a year or so.
In fact within 2-3 months of a film’s release, u will start seeing the trend.
Ritz, I disagree that IMDB is reliable only for HW movies. I suggest you to pick any BW movie, but not of your hated star/actor due to ‘obvious’ reason, and check it’s rating, you will find it very near to your own likes/dislikes. Or you can say, whatever be the general perception for a particular movie, the IMDB rating almost matches to that perception.
However I agree about the ratings normalize and show true picture after some period. But earlier rating indicates where it goes on, especially when number of votes crosses triple figure. For example Barfi rating was 9+ with rougly 2000 votes, and now its 8.7 with 10000+ votes. So I don’t think there is much a difference after 2-3 months or even a year in that case.
imdb is not 100% reliable for ANY film. the hw movie ratings are mostly dominated by west public and they are biased to their stars and filmmakers. They will rate craps also 8/10.There are many examples and they underrate the asian (not bollywood) films.There is a good level of fanaticism out there.
As for bw on imdb,the voting participation is too low. it is just like any fb poll.

Yes Baba… That’s the Kind of Intensity SRK Can Bring to a Movie.
Note the Sequence where he tells Katrina to Choose between him and God.
That SRK Was Missing in the London Part of Samar.
Another Part, I Liked was Anushka Interviewing SRK after his Memory Loss in London, Anushka and SRK Under the Bridge Defusing the Bomb and SRK’s Parting Note with Anushka at the Airport.
I Also Liked the Ishq Shava Sequence.
The Whole Neetu-Rishi Angle, SRK Memory Loss, Numerous Meetings btwn Anushka-Katrina was Not Reqd.
Katrina was fab in Ishq shava but ordinary otherwise. her role was too one-dimensional.
i felt anushka tried to be way too bubbly…she is naturally bubbly like preity but if these two actress try being bubbly it ruins the whole thing…..otherwise she was good…about katrina i think you guys are being harsh…she has come a long way and is a very competent actress these days…srk as army guy was good..as the carefree londonwala guy was ok…movie was too long…not even a single funny scene to tickle ur bones..hardly any scene that made u smile…ya some army sequences between those three army guys were good…the main drawback for this film is if u want to make an epic intense love story which hardly has any humour in it..then it should be able to make you emotional..which it did in 1 or 2 scenes only..the lack of humour makes this 3 hr lovestory feel like ages…and i am convinced now that most reviewers have given an extra star or two out of sympathy

Heck, Even 3I, Singham, Dabangg had Huge Number of Cinematic Flaws if We Scrutinise them but they were Such Engaging and Entertaining Fares that One tends to look Beyond the Minor Loopholes and Enjoy the Movie which has Strong Performances and Some Apt Editing.
JTHJ was a Never Ending Torture Devoid of Any Really LOL Humorous Sequence and the Worst Part is,
Even the Romantic, Emotional Portions were Not Connecting.

SOS Better than Golmaal/HF Series, Ready, BB, ATB etc.?
ready is a salman film and i might be a bit biased though i did enjoy that film immensely and much more than bodyguard….of the rest i found sos much more entertaining than hf,golmal and atb..of course u have to overlook some scenes like the basketball scene..but for jthj even after overlooking the great battle between jesus and samar it was still boring..and if there is anything worse than a bad movie it has to be a boring movie..and sadly for jthj its super boring movie
