Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) is a woman in a tight spot. Following a car accident in which Erin is not at fault, Erin pleads with her attorney Ed Masry (Albert Finney) to hire her at his law firm. Erin stumbles upon some medical records placed in real estate files. She convinces Ed to allow her to investigate, where she discovers a cover-up involving contaminated water in a local community which is causing devastating illnesses among its residents.

Re watched it after a long time. Excellent movie based on a true story. The movie is pretty factual except that many of the victims weren’t happy with the money that received individually. Link

Julia Roberts was excellent as Erin Brockovich and this is her career best performance for which she deservedly won the Oscar for Best Actress. Albert Finney was good as the attorney Ed Masry. Aaron Eckhart was good as the biker boyfriend.

City Hunters – First Korean series which was Very Good in the beginning and Excellent till the last 2 episodes before faltering (very predictable). However, it is very addictive series that has high octane action, fists-fists fights, mixture of subtle and cheesy romance in between. A series riding on whole revenge story contains only 20 Episodes and its very tough to stop in between. Highly Recommneded!!!

Watched Finding Fanny. Its a very quirky movie and its entirely in English. A couple of scenes are funny and there is some smart humor at places but the movie needed way more scenes like that. It was very slow paced and it felt like a pointless movie.

Deepika looked gorgeous and acted well. Arjun Kapoor acted well and he was very good in the emotional outburst scene. Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia were ok. Pankaj Kapoor was usual in a weird role.

Rewatched The Shawshank Redemption after a very long time.

Its no doubt a very good movie and I liked it a lot. But I still think it is an overrated movie with the way people praise it as the best movie ever and the No 1 rating on IMDB. It is definitely inspired from the movie Escape from Alcatraz and quite a few scenes or plot points are copied from that movie.

Tim Robbins was excellent as Andy Dufresne. Morgan Freeman was excellent as Ellis “Red” Redding and his narration/voiceover is very good. Bob Gunton is excellent as the warden. Clancy Brown is very good as Captain Hadley. The rest of the cast is very good too.

All those who have not watched Escape from Alcatraz should definitely check out that movie.

I dont think its overrated. I think Morgan freeman and dialogues along with pacing of the movie makes the difference.

As I said I liked the movie a lot and its a very good movie. I think its overrated with the way people praise it as the best movie ever and because it has the No 1 rating on IMDB.

Agree that “Morgan freeman and dialogues along with pacing of the movie makes the difference.” His voiceover/narration takes the movie to another level.

Wazir– Average movie .Predictable and poor execution of a an interesting concept .Best part of the movie was cinematography and bgm . Acting was okay .

    • cr7 8 years ago

I liked how they handle the family scenes . Any other movie would give a good 30-40 minutes to farhan-aditi scenes . But Bejoy nambiar handled it smartly with songs in bgm . That helped the pace of the movie . Specially the whole marriage and kid scene during the opening credit .

    First Man on the Moon
A look inside the life of Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon.

Its a decent documentary. It talks about how Neil Armstrong performed an excellent maneuver on the aborted Gemini 8 mission and how he escaped near death while preparing with the Lunar Landing Training Vehicles (LLTV) before the Apollo 11 mission. It shows how he became a celebrity after the moon landing and how he had to tour so many countries and how he pretty much shunned all the fame and settled down as a Professor.

I haven’t seen The breakfast club .Ferris bueller’s day off is funny . Lot of similar movies have been already made . But I think you can still enjoy it.

Lobster is bizarre . It has certain drawbacks as a movie but one can definitely appreciate the originality . Could have been better but I liked it .

    V for Vendetta
Following world war, London is a police state occupied by a fascist government, and a vigilante known only as V (Hugo Weaving) uses terrorist tactics to fight the oppressors of the world in which he now lives. When V saves a young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) from the secret police, he discovers an ally in his fight against England’s oppressors.

Had liked the movie a lot when I first watched it back in 2005 may be because it was so different and its insinuation with the 911 Conspiracy theories. But this time it felt just ok. It is still topical with the anti-gay and anti-Muslim things but it was a bit hard to take it seriously because of its comic book feel and masked lead character. Also the Evey torture part was so ridiculous.

Natalie Portman was good as Evey. Hugo Weaving was very good with just his voice. Stephen Rea was good as the cop. John Hurt was excellent as the Chancellor.

Finished watching the 3rd Season of Mad Men. Still liking it but at times it feels like the same thing over and over with the lead character constantly cheating on his wife with other women. Like the art direction of the show a lot – the way they do the 60s style vending machines and so on. Also like the show using real historical events as backdrop like the Martin Luther King speech and Kennedy assassination and so on.

    Elizabeth
Elizabeth Tudor (Cate Blanchett) becomes queen of a divided and dangerous England in 1558. She is roundly perceived as weak by threats from within and abroad, and she is strongly advised to marry by counsel William Cecil (Richard Attenborough). But she will be married only to her country. Intelligent and cautious, she must choose where to place her trust: with her shrewd secretary Walsingham (Geoffrey Rush), a master of espionage, or her secret lover, Sir Robert Dudley (Joseph Fiennes).

Its a engrossing movie though its almost completely historically inaccurate as can be found from the link below.

How accurate was the 1998 film Elizabeth?

Shekhar Kapur lets go of historical accuracy almost completely to make a interesting movie with intrigue. The movie was nominated for 7 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Original Score and won Best Makeup.

Cate Blanchett was excellent as Elizabeth. Geoffrey Rush was excellent as Wilsingham. Christopher Eccleston was good as Duke of Norfolk. Did not like Joseph Fiennes as Robert Dudley, lover of Elizabeth. Richard Attenborough was ok as Burghley.

    Spy Game
Redford stars as CIA operative Nathan Muir, who is on the brink of retirement from the field, when he learns his protégé Tom Bishop has been arrested in China on a charge of espionage. No stranger to the machinations of the CIA’s top echelon, Muir hones all his skills and irreverent manner in order to find a way to free Bishop.

    Its an ok movie.

Robert Redford was good and so was Brad Pitt. Catherine McCormack looked pretty.

    The Perfect Storm
Based on a true story, the film tells of the courageous men and women who risk their lives every working day, pitting their fishing boats and rescue vessels against the capricious forces of nature. Their worst fears are realized at sea on Halloween of 1991, when they are confronted by three raging weather fronts which unexpectedly collide to produce the greatest, fiercest storm in modern history — “The Perfect Storm.”

Stupid cheesy movie. Its based on a true story but there are a lot of changes with the true story. Don’t even understand what’s the point of making the movie when it ended the way it did.

George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, John C. Reilly, William Fichtner were good. Diane Lane was bad with her overacting. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was pathetic with her horrible overacting.

Erased– Its an anime . Liked it . The first few episodes were brilliant and on par with death note which I consider the greatest anime ever . But unfortunately it couldn’t keep up the momentum . I just hope they didn’t finish the show in 12 episodes .Lack of episodes forced a rushed storytelling and messed up pacing . Still its a very good show and worth watching .Kayo Hinazuki story-line was excellent.

    The Holiday
Two women, one (Cameron Diaz) from America and one (Kate Winslet) from Britain, swap homes at Christmas time after bad breakups with their boyfriends. Each woman finds romance with a local man (Jude Law, Jack Black) but realizes that the imminent return home may end the relationship.

Its the usual romantic comedy. Its watchable.

Cameron Diaz was trying to be all cute. Jude Law was ok. Kate Winslet seemed somewhat of a misfit in this kind of movie. Her chemistry/pairing with Jack Black felt odd and forced. Jack Black was usual.

Watched The Jungle Book in IMAX 3D.

Very good movie and the CGI was very good. The animals looked so real. The kids will love it.

The kid Neel Sethi was excellent as Mowgli and he is cute.

Fan – Decent film . Liked it . First half was good and set up the story well . The premise of second half was stupid and unrealistic but thanks to crisp editing the pacing was alright .Some of the best scenes of the movie are in the second half. That was enough to keep the movie interesting . But there is no denying that second half could have been much better and I won’t be surprised if the absurdity spoil the movie for many . Always considered Shahrukh a good actor .He had the scope to act and he did it with perfection. As a movie it is hardly special but for shah rukh its a change in right direction . A sincere performance in a movie which doesn’t bother much about box office .

    Shelter
Hannah and Tahir fall in love while homeless on the streets of New York. Shelter explores how they got there, and as we learn about their pasts we realize they need each other to build a future.

Very depressing movie in which bad things keep happening to the lead characters. The movie shows how bad life is for a homeless person.

There are a couple of scenes where there is some discussion between the religious Tahir and the atheist Hannah about God but then it doesn’t evolve into anything substantial.

Jennifer Connelly was excellent as the junkie Hannah. Anthony Mackie was good as Tahir.

The movie is directed by the actor Paul Bettany.

Completed watching the TV series Mad Men. The series kept getting worse through the seasons and the final season was the worst. The last episode was crap. The art direction of the show was very good recreating the 60s and the early 70s.

Jon Hamm was very good as Don Draper, the hard-drinking, chain-smoking creative director of an advertising agency with a shadowy past and the constant habit of infidelity. Elisabeth Moss was very irritating as the constant complaining entitled copywriter Peggy Olson. Vincent Kartheiser as Pete Campbell was initially irritating but his character got better as the show progessed. January Jones was very good as Don Draper’s first wife Betty and looked very pretty. Christina Hendricks was very sexy as Joan Harris who is initially the Office manager and partner later. Aaron Staton was very good as Ken Cosgrove, the account manager. John Slattery was excellent as the witty, always drinking and philandering partner. Robert Morse was good as the eccentric Bert Cooper. Kiernan Shipka was good as Don and Betty’s daughter Sally. Jessica Paré was good as Don’s second wife Megan who is initially Don’s secretary and later an actress. Christopher Stanley was good as Henry, the second husband of Betty.

Mad Men started off well but at times it had some ridiculous things and it felt the show did not know what to do. The characters are all very interesting and the actors playing them very good. I think that’s what made the show addictive.

Started watching Dexter and finished 7 Episodes of Season 1 and I am loving it. This is my kind of show – a forensic technician who also moonlights as a serial killer and cops investigating serial killers and gory killings. The pacing and screenplay is just perfect. It hasn’t had any bad/weird episodes or irritating characters so far.

P.S. Thanks to FS for the recco.

The 2nd Season has turned bad and am not liking it. Dexter going to a drug rehab, confiding about his mother to the sponsor and then bringing home the sponsor and letting the answering machine get the message is just beyond ridiculous.

I don’t think they should have gone to Dexter’s victims so soon in the 2nd season. They could have done that in the final season.

The 5th season of Dexter is bad specially after the arrival of Julia Stiles’ character. Dexter still going around killing people while taking care of a kid without Rita just doesn’t make sense.

The show initially was about Dexter satisfying his bad urges by killing criminals who got away but in Season 4 he wanted to personally kill Arthur Mitchell instead of letting the law get him which did not make sense.

Jungle Book – I had lost hope on Hollywood after watching them make all event or holiday movies from worse to worst. I loved everything about the movie and even though i had seen the moglie series many times, i felt like watching the story for the first time. It was very effective in terms of CGI, VFX and that kid has really done a brilliant job.

Finished Season 1 of Dexter and loved it. Brilliant show.

The whole story of a a forensic technician/vigilante serial killer with his backstory of childhood trauma trying to track down a serial killer who has a backstory too and how it all comes together in the climax was just excellent.

Michael C. Hall was excellent as Dexter. Julie Benz was very good as Dexter’s girlfriend. Jennifer Carpenter was excellent as a cop and Dexter’s sister. Erik King was very good as the Seargent who hates Dexter. Lauren Velez was good as the Lieutenant. David Zayas was good as Batista. James Remar was excellent as Dexter’s foster father Harry. Geoff Pierson was good as the Captain.

Finished Season 2 of Dexter. Compared to the excellent Season 1 this has been a disappointment. It was bad at times but it kind of got salvaged at the end. The whole love track between Dexter’s sister and the FBI guy was bad. I was happy to see Mike from Breaking Bad and thought he would have a major role but he did not have much to do. Had liked Erik King as the Sergeant and did not like what happened to him.

    Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Nobleman crusader Robin of Locksley (Kevin Costner) breaks out of a Jerusalem prison with the help of Moorish fellow prisoner Azeem (Morgan Freeman) and travels back home to England. But upon arrival he discovers his dead father in the ruins of his family estate, killed by the vicious sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman). Robin and Azeem join forces with outlaws Little John (Nick Brimble) and Will Scarlett (Christian Slater) to save the kingdom from the sheriff’s villainy.

Bad cheesy movie. Can’t believe that this was a hit back then. Robin Hood is probably just a legend but I thought he would be shown as some brave warrior but he came off across as a joker.

Kevin Costner was bad as Robin Hood. Morgan Freeman was ok. Alan Rickman was bad as Nottingham.

    Shall We Dance?
Despite having a great career and a loving family, lawyer John Clark (Richard Gere) is missing something in his life as he meanders listlessly from day to day. On his commute back home one night, Clark notices a stunning woman (Jennifer Lopez) in a dance studio and decides on a whim to join a class for ballroom dancing. While Clark finds a new spark in his life, his wife, Beverly (Susan Sarandon), grows suspicious of his frequent absences, since he decides to keep his dancing a secret.

Finished Season 4 of Dexter. It was good but they kept prolonging the killing of Arthur Mitchell with silly excuses just so that they could do it in the final episode of the season. Christine being connected to the Trinity killer and her killing someone was ridiculous. Debra’s character was annoying at times with her whole being in love with Anton/Lundy at different times and then constantly being angry/frustrated with some thing or the other. Did not like the way the final episode ended with Spoiler AlertRita getting killed. It was just completely stupid to bump off Rita. Spoiler Alert

Michael C. Hall was very good as Dexter. Julie Benz was good as Dexter’s girlfriend. Jennifer Carpenter was excellent as Debra. John Lithgow was excellent as Arthur Mitchell.

    Fandry
Love, the most beautiful emotion in all living creatures that God has made knows no bar, caste or boundaries, is the central theme of Fandry. A young lad (Jabya) falls in love with his classmate. Incidentally, he belongs to a lower caste, a family below the poverty line which does all sorts of jobs in the village to survive like catching Pigs and the girl belongs to a higher caste. His parents are working hard to arrange money for their daughter’s wedding while Jabya is collecting money for new clothes to impress the girl. Fandry is a story of his aspirations, quest, sorrows, anguish and frustrations. Fandry also touches upon the age old monster of Caste System which is still lurking large upon the society.

Excellent movie. Thanks to @Ritz for the recco and completely agree with his comments below.

“Fandry is very raw and it touches subject of almost untouchability. Fandry means a “Soor” ( a pig). The last 30 mins of Fandry when the boy is humiliated in front of his classmates catching a a pig will move you. And also the the climax when he revolts against the local gundas …who treat them as pigs(Fandry).” Link

“Last 30 minutes of Fandry are chilling and one gets very angry watching it (how still we have caste system). The tagline of Fandry was “Have we really got the Freedom?”” Link

The National Anthem scene was brilliant.

Somnath Awghade was excellent as Jabya and he deservedly won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. Kishore Kadam was good as the father. Rajeshwari Kharat was good as Jabya’s love interest. Nagraj Manjule was very good as Chankya. I had a feeling that he was the director of the movie while watching and it turned out to be true.

Fawad Khan had obviously the best role and he was excellent. Its quite bold of him to do that role. Sidharth Malhotra was very good too. Alia Bhatt looked cute and was good too. Rishi Kapoor was very good especially in the funny scenes. Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah were good too.

    Finished Season 5 of Dexter.

The show was unbearable and I almost stopped watching it after the entry of Julia Stiles character but it became relatively better later on and watchable. She was doing lot of stupid dumb things like just walking into the lobby of a Jordan Chase seminar or going alone to Emily’s house. But it looks like she won’t be part of Dexter the way the season ended.

The Jordan Chase part of the story was good. The show had lot of cheap thrills like Dexter being at a crime scene and Debra & co almost being there and in the second instance Debra not finding out who he was and letting him go. Liddy finding about Dexter was bad too. Cole gets killed in a hotel room but Deb finding blood stains in his house was a goof unless I am mistaken.

    Captain America: Civil War
Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.

Had not watched any of the Captain America or Avengers movies before so did not know much about the characters or their backstories. Its an ok movie. There is no great plot. The action scenes are good and the Avengers fighting among themselves part is good.

Chris Evans was very good as Captain America. Robert Downey Jr. was good as Iron Man. Sebastian Stan was very good. Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Tom Holland were ok. Chadwick Boseman and Paul Bettany were good. Emily VanCamp looked pretty. Daniel Brühl was good. I did not realize that he was Nikki Lauda from Rush.

Liked this season with it focusing on a religious cult with the Doomsday killers track but did not like the final scene and the way it ended. Hated parts of it where Dexter kept wanting to personally kill Travis instead of just helping in his capture and the usual cliched scene of Dexter getting captured and escaping. Hated the kidnap of the little kid and how they involved him in a sacrifice scene.

Colin Hanks was excellent as Travis Marshall and Edward James Olmos was very good as Professor James Gellar. Mos Def was good as Brother Sam.

Finished watching Dexter. It was a good show overall but terribly disappointed with the final episode and the way things ended.

    Spoiler Alert
There was no reason to kill off Debra. She should not have been shot and even if she was they had a scene where she had survived but then they had to go and do all that clot of blood BS. They should have had a happy ending with Dexter, Hannah and Harrison in Argentina. Did not understand why they had to end it with a bearded Dexter somewhere alone.

There were some stupid things that did not make sense like Vogel wanting to teach Zach the code but not wanting to do the same with her own son. Clayton finds out that Hannah was at the hospital but waits a long time to question Debra about it. Saxon’s killing scene was bad and Dexter getting away with it was ridiculous.

Michael C. Hall was excellent as Dexter and Jennifer Carpenter was excellent as Debra. James Remar was very good as Harry. Desmond Harrington was ok as Quinn. C. S. Lee as good as Masuka. David Zayas was good as Angel. Aimee Garcia was good as Jamie. Geoff Pierson was good as Chief Matthews.Charlotte Rampling was good as Vogel. Yvonne Strahovski was gorgeous as Hannah and was good. Darri Ingolfsson as was good as Saxon. Sam Underwood was good as the creepy Zach.

    Great Expectations
Loosely based on the Charles Dickens’ classic novel, “Great Expectations” is a sensual tale of a young man’s unforgettable passage into manhood, and the three individuals who will undeniably change his life forever. Through the surprising interactions of these vivid characters, “Great Expectations” takes a unique and contemporary look at life’s great coincidences.

Boring crap movie. The screenplay was bad. Its directed by Alfonso Cuarón, the director of the overrated movie Gravity. The recent Fitoor adapted out of the same novel was way better than this.

Ethan Hawke was bad. Have always felt like he is the poor man’s Tom Cruise. Gwyneth Paltrow looked gorgeous and sexy. Don’t think she has looked better than this in any other movie. Chris Cooper was good as uncle Joe. Robert De Niro was good as the escaped convict.

Started watching Spartacus and completed six episodes of Season 1.

Good show. Liking it so far. The story is very good but the CGI especially in the first couple of episodes was very bad. It looked so fake. Had watched some episodes of the TV show Rome and not liked that one. This one is definitely better than that.

The performances are very good by everyone.

Thanks to @FS for the recco.

It keeps on getting better and better and i would recommend u to avoid the second season if want to keep up the flow because the lead of season one dies in real and they made 6 episodes with two different lead characters. The season 3 is actually the continuation of season 1.

I think CGI of this was much better than some top bollywood movies. Its more of entertainment series mixed with porn than that has anything to do with actual hisory or convey message.

Andy Whitfield was very good as Spartacus. Sad to hear that he died.

Will try to watch Season 2 but if its bad then will avoid it and go to Season 3 as you suggested.

The thing with CGI is that the set/scenery/sky for outdoor scenes looks very fake and the blood sprouting seemed fake too. I did not like 300 too because of its comic book like sets and CGI.

Agree that its a entertainment series mixed with nude/sex scenes.

Always found stories involving Romans very interesting. There is a very controversial movie Caligula which is famous/infamous for its added porn scenes but I liked that movie too. Malcolm McDowell of A Clockwork Orange was excellent as the deranged emperor Caligula in that one.

May be you and cr7 will like that one too.

        • FS 8 years ago

Will try to watch it soon.

The common thing about Spartacus, Game of Thrones and House of Cards is Politics. Many unexpected and shocking events takes place in the game of politics which is bit difficult to predict and the these three series have become the Apex of their Genre’s.

Rome compared to these was bit underwhelming.

    • cr7 8 years ago

Its a entertaining show .All seasons are pretty much on same level. I liked Rome too .

        sputnik 8 years ago

The problem with Rome was with all the different accents. Someone was speaking in British accent and another in Scottish/Irish accent and so on.

Its been a long time but I remember watching quite a few episodes. May be the 2nd season was bad.

No haven’t watched Game of Thrones.

          • cr7 8 years ago

If you have no problem with slight fantasy(dragons, black magic kinda stuff) do give it a try . I think you’ll like the drama . Thought last and current season have been disappointing .

The big Lebowski – – Finally watched it .A very enjoyable movie Understandable why it became such a cult.
Zoolander– Stupid plot and character but good time-pass movie.
Airplane– Fun movie. Some scenes were hilarious.

Heirs – Another Korean series starring the same lead of City Hunter & Boys over flowers. After watching these 5 series I realized that all these famous series have too many things in common such as they are cheesy, they are cliche’d and they are tearjerkers. Even with all these negative aspects, I am loving it 😛

    Hi cr7, FS and sputnik.

I am watching each episode of GoT as they are being released. As i could not wait for the next episode. Are you watching it as well?

I have started watching Peaky Blinders on 3rd episode now. (these days dont have much time to binge watch) Heard good things about it.. So far its quite good..

      Hi Zacked,

No I haven’t started watching GOT as its not on Netflix here. Will try to get hold of it and start watching it.

Ha… so you also watching it weekly.. 😀

          Arsenal signed Xhaka.. your thoughts?

          • cr7 8 years ago

Yeah each week as soon as available for download . Though I think season 5 and 6 are the weakest till now .

Excited about xhaka . Looks very commanding and physical . A kind of player we needed. Now only if jack stays fit I think we’ll have the best midfield in the league . We’re just 2 signings away from making a formidable team . A st and cb . Looks like Wenger’s last season . For the first time I feel we’re genuinely active in transfer market . Lots of speculations going on .Lets see.

Finished Season 1 of Spartacus. Good season with good intrigue. The final episode had a bit too much going on at the same time. The performances by everyone were good.

Started watching Season 2 and it looks like its a prequel to the first season.

    Nine Months
When successful child psychologist and one-time playboy Samuel Faulkner (Hugh Grant) hears that his girlfriend, Rebecca (Julianne Moore), is pregnant, he panics. As Faulkner’s crippling fear of commitment sets in, Rebecca decides to leave him. Realizing he wants to spend his life with her, Faulkner struggles to come to terms with the gravity of impending fatherhood — a struggle helped in no way by the antics of Rebecca’s bumbling obstetrician, Eastern-Bloc refugee Dr. Kosevich (Robin Williams).

Did not like it and stopped watching it halfway through. Such a terrible movie. Can’t believe that this did well at the box office.

Hugh Grant was bad. Julianne Moore was ok. Robin Williams was funny in the couple of scenes of his that I watched.

Finished Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, the prequel to the 1st season of Spartacus and liked it. Good season. It provided good backstories for some of the characters.

Gannicus character was very entertaining and interesting. The love triangle between him, Oenomaus and his wife was good.

Dustin Clare was very good as Gannicus. John Hannah was very good as Batiatus and Lucy Lawless was good as Lucretia. Peter Mensah was very good as Oenomaus. Nick E. Tarabay was very good as the evil Ashur. Manu Bennett was good as Crixus.

    ——–

Started watching Spartacus: Vengeance, the continuation of Season 1. They obviously had to replace the lead actor because of his cancer but they have also replaced the actress who played Naevia. I think they should have just gone with the story that she was dead instead of having a new actress play her role which made it look ridiculous. Did not like the character of Aurelia getting killed. Also did not like how Lucretia magically ends up alive.

Pinocchio – Another Korean Series which is very engaging and well directed. The chemistry between the lead characters is awesome and so the antagonists and their chemistry with the protagonists. Recommended!

I watched Kapoor & Sons again too yesterday & loved it again.

Will repeat what I said the first time – “Screenplay was excellent and the dialogues were very good. The scene where each character finds a secret of another character was the best scene of the movie.”

Fawad was very good but this time I liked Sidharth Malhotra even more. I think he was excellent. He was so subtle and natural.

Alia Bhatt looked cute and was good too. Rishi Kapoor was very good. His comic timing was awesome. Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah were very good too.

      Highly Recommended

“Screenplay was excellent and the dialogues were very good. The scene where each character finds a secret of another character was the best scene of the movie.”

—– Agree and probably it was the best sequence of shots in a Climax i have seen after a long long time since “3 Deewarien”

Every character’s performance was important and can’t single out any because they performed exactly the way characters should do.

    Watched Malayalam movie Premam.

Excellent movie. Loved it. The movie was so funny and entertaining. The love stories felt so real and life like.

Background music was excellent and the songs were very good. The Scene Contra song was vey funny.

Nivin Pauly was excellent as George. Madonna Sebastian was good as Celine. Sai Pallavi was very good as Miss Mallar. Anupama Parameshwaran was good as Mary. Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Shankar were good as the friends.

Watched another Malayalam movie Ohm Shanthi Oshaana.

Good movie. Liked it. Its a coming of age love story but this time its from the girl’s side.

Nivin Pauly was very good once again but this time its more a passive role of being the love interest unlike the active role in Premam. Nazriya Nazim looked very cute and was very good as Pooja.

Finished watching Spartacus: Vengeance the 3rd season. Did not like this season as much as the earlier seasons. It was very corny and cliched at times with the whole Crixxus/Naevia track and the Oemenaus/Gannicus track and Agron/Nasir track and them training among themselves. The last two episodes were comparatively better than the rest of the season.

Finished the first 5 episodes of Spartacus: War of the Damned, the 4th and final season. The Naevia character has become very irritating with the constant overacting by the actress playing that role. The whole Julius Caesar track of him pretending to be a slave and entering the camp and then influencing others is totally ridiculous.

Signal – this Korean series is Rated very highly & I would have done the same if the theme would have remained natural than supernatural. Excluding the theme, everything about the series was exceptional until the final 3 episodes ruins the fast paced thriller into emotional boring tearjerkers. Also it was stretched a lot yet it is very intriguing. Recommended!!

Premam – Beautiful Movie with beautiful chemistry, i just loved Everything about the second love story of the movie. Actor is damn good, pretty versatile and his personality too is charismatic. Loved it, thanks to Shetty, Cr & Sputnik for recommendation. Highly recommended!!!

Glad that you loved it too.

Agree that its a “Beautiful Movie with beautiful chemistry”. Yeah the “Actor is damn good, pretty versatile and his personality too is charismatic.”

I loved the second love story the best too but when Malhar had memory loss I thought why did they have to do that cliched thing but I liked the way they ended that track in the end. The first love story was very hilarious.

Try Ohm Shanthi Oshaana with the same lead actor. In that he has a more passive role of being the love interest unlike the active role in Premam. The movie is not as funny as Premam but I think you will like that one too. Its a coming of age love story but its from the girl’s side.
