Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana is colossal disappointment!

Ever since the first promo released, LSTCK looked super fun with quirky humor and diverse characters! But this film justifies the evergreen thought- “Don’t judge the book by its cover.”

The film is very routine and the writers shows no unpredictability factor. The way everything falls so easily in place, it ridicules your intelligence. The story of the film, if you can call that, revolves around a family full of fools, including one certified fool (Titu, best character of this film).

There are too many irrelevant flashbacks, right from the beginning. Also the climax of the film is simply unacceptable. The climax offers you a family sitting having Chicken khurana and sharing their secrets to bridge the gaps! really, what was that? It spares you with sour taste. Screenplay was written in air I will presume.

Though it is not entirely unwatchable film. The track which has Kunal kapoor and Huma trying to work out on Chicken khurana is very adorable and the love story actually improves between them which is well executed. Much of the credit goes to Huma Qureshi’s excellent portrayal. She is so natural and so refreshing! Kunal Kapoor is good in his role, although he doesn’t have anything substantial here. Dolly Ahluwalia (Vicky’s mom in Vicky Donor) has just one scene but it is the vital scene and she gives her bets. The man who plays Titu is funny at times. The twist in the end with this character was lame!

And there are countless songs in the narrative, although they are only in background.

Overall, the makers misguided the audience with promo of being some comedy, but it focuses “too” much on bringing smiles, and not laughs! Not a bad watch, but neither satisfying!

Rating- 2/5 (Average)
