this is my biggest issue with hindi action films. why to add songs/romance track and ruin an action film? the first trailer was so good except pooja chopra scenes. I hope she has blink and miss role as it looked from theatrical trailer. vidyut being a martial artist has some grace in him but he deserved better choreography.

Its nothing like ‘target audience’ for such films imo. They are all masala and has to be packed well with all sorts of songs, item numbers, comedies, emotions 😉
I think pooja chopra will have minimal role and this movie will be all about Vidyut’s action Skills.
i dont think you understand the difference between a modern actioner and masala.The difference is as big as Ong Bak and Dabang 😉 not surprising. most of them atleast in hindi films dont understand it. they think a film which has no romance,cheap comedy scenes or OTT villain will not work. every film here is designed in the mould of masala.

Again take the example of Dabangg which had all masala and still it was a Salman Show.

i know you said the same thing but commando will not be liked by masala film lovers. simply bcos thye dont like the kind of realistic action that commando seems to have. I just hope commando is not a film that is neither full masala nor a ful on martial arts action film.it has to cater to either one of them.only then it will be big. i talked about target audience earlier.
Even i want this movie to be Successful or atleast get noticed by media and common people. The only problem is that it is releasing with Nautanki Sala
After the HUGE Success of ABCD now we can say that if the movie is Good/Entertaining it will find its audience. And one more thing is that ABCD was competiting with a movie which carried Good WOM and ABCD didnt got any support from Online world.
of course i am not dismissing pooja chopra . she is hot etc 😀 but her role in this film seems forced and irritating. i fear that she will have stale dialgues and pathetic attempt at humour. I dont want a talent like vidyut wasted.
I was watching Thuppakki and Force (in fast forward mode of course) … this guy made Southern Superstar Vijay look like a teenage kid with round cheeks trying hard to look tough and our own John Abraham as an awkward bloated fat ox (like that ridiculous Sunny Deol) while sharing screen space with them.
He may even make our 3 Khans look like old awkward hags if casted as a villain opposite them!
If he gets the right film as a lead, we definitely have a star here. And if Akshay Kumar could improve on the acting front by just surviving on B-grade stuff for more than a decade, then this guy can surely do better.
He did steal the show in Force not only with his action but also acting.
He did win a Filmfare Best Debut award but he would have been the talk of the town with Yashraj/KJo and every other director running to sign him up if only he was a star son.

Sad to see the likes of KJOs and Aditya Chopra investing so much on Arjun Kapoors and Sidhhart Malhotras. This guy has great screen presence -but may just go all waste.
These sad days when everyone from Anurag Kashyap to Imtiaz ali lining up to sign every new star kid on the block from our decent Ranbir to the disgusting Aalia Bhatt – thumbs up to Dibakar Banerjee to cast Nawaz in his next directorial under YRF instead of Adi’s first choice Ranbir Kapoor.

I should first hang myself for watching Thuppakki in the first place! Oh Gawd, i forgot it was by the same director who raped and screwed and murdered Nolan’s Memento into Ghajini – Murugadoss movies are only good for giving headaches.
Imagine what great movies are awaiting us in the form of remakes of this guy’s classic masterpieces – Salman’s MENTAL (an apt name though) and Akshay’s PISTOL.
that vijay is bad. he thinks he is good in action. his poses in the film posters (most of which are copied from foreign films) are clumsy and ugly.
