Excellent Trailer Fantastic special effects, background score and Hrithik looks superb.

  2. shinji 11 years ago

Didnt like, poor special effects, seems like a cartoon at some stages…

  3. shinji 11 years ago

    Poor man’s super hero movie!

  4. FS 11 years ago

Don’t know what to make of it?

The CGI and VFX along with background score are on par with some of sci-fic movies of Hollywood. But it looks heavily inspired from recent superman, iron man movies. This could be a benchmark film in this Genre and in future more films with such CGI & VFX use might narrow the gap between Hollywood and bOllywood movies.

Few Visual effects are bad in the promo but then even hollywood films have such flaws.

    Brilliant trailer.

  5. Baba 11 years ago

i think it might be less childish than the earlier two parts. vfx seems good for bw stds but is tacky in some sky scenes.but i hope it has some superhero theme too , not just vfx.story-wise it looks more in the kmg domain than krrihs.kmg was first bw film to introduce aliens. this might be the first bw film to introduce mutants. krrish in that respect was a much safer film.

  6. Bored 11 years ago

Yeah considering the first two movies this looks a major step-up. The ingredients are all there, its now up to Rakesh Roshan to stir and churn it out with the right spices.

  8. ank_16n 11 years ago

some scenes VFX are lame and Video gamish….while some VFX are good……

but scenes are too fast to Judge…will have to wait for subsequent promos….
    Overall Decent…but still disappointing 😛

  9. mate 11 years ago

I suggest they should wind up the franchise here, as there is no excitement left in it. Not that the trailer is bad at all, but every thing seems to be on expected lines. But It will be crime to not mentioning the stunning visual effects, hats off to the guys who worked on it.

  10. yakuza 11 years ago

Ra.one will find ample amount of respect on 3rd Nov.

Nothing exciting, Graphics are not seamless and clearly looking like computer animation, can’t believe how Sr. Roshan can approve such worst ? This movie will crash like anything .. abi likh lo.

  11. max 11 years ago

mindblowing kickass trailer .Everything look great Some poeple talk about the effect its only two sec of kangana look like cartoon but the whole trailer from the builing to the vivek world look like hollywood film and people really compere this to Ra one loool any way diwali the storm willcoming because its all about the story and RR is amAster in this area .Best super hero wit best effect with diwali release just wait what will happened who thought the film will crash lool

by the way the response is mindblowing every where more than 6000 like in just 3 hour and the talk about effect this is bollywood not hollywood so just wait and watch

Seriously, what’s with the blaring Inception horns playing in almost all blockbuster movie trailers these days. Since Inception they have been used in Prometheus (excessively), Star Trek into darkness, Rise of Planet of Apes, Tron Legacy, Transformers 3, now releasing Elysium, World War Z, Pacific Rim, Battle LA etc. Maybe one day we’ll get to see a movie about these horns. At least we don’t have the trailer for trailer thing that’s going on in hollywood now.
Btw, the vfx sux. The lighting, shadows and textures are all early 2000 video game quality. It’s going to take a long time before our superheroes mature. Sorry, but I’m going to skip this one.

  13. sputnik 11 years ago

As others have said the VFX look good in some scenes and tacky in some – almost cartoonish. Did not like KMG and have not seen Krrish. The old Hrithik scenes look KMGish.

There is a heavy hangover of The Dark Knight Rises and the background music seems inspired from Inception, TDKR and even The Last of the Mohicans and or Vangelis.

  14. Aditya007 11 years ago

Big Disspointment! Still not clear what have they made? Superhero film/animation film

  15. max 11 years ago

before the release all people said we cant compete hollywood but now they didnt like the trailer because hollywood is better than bollywood really !!! RR from the first day said we cant compete them their budget is around 1500 cr we have only story and bollywood standard .Krrish will be the best effect in bollwyood history and the story will give the final result

    sputnik
we are in bollywood so everything is inspire from hollywood but if you want to take inspiration then nolan is the best persong .This film will be xmen + iron man + batman + superman and with dance will be krrish lool

remake became ahuge hit so what aombination from big super hero film will have aproblem !!!

any way in 4 hour 6000+ like this make it clear how the response is great

ANK ab yeh promo acha nhi laga tume ,.ouatim2 ka promo kaise psnd aa gya yr ,yeh bhi bta do , us se to yeh promo 100% acha he

  17. Bored 11 years ago

For an industry whose biggest blockbuaters are of the quality of that seen in CE, OUATIMD or Besharam – this must be a god’s gift by those standards … LOL – Not that I am endorsing it, it will all depend on the film, not a 2 min teaser.

  18. max 11 years ago

I just want to know something which part of special effect some people didnt like .Its only kangana part but vivek and krrish scene is totally great specially the building part .I some people suddenly right now talking about ra one really loooooooooool this is abollywood film so we should only compere krrish with bollywood film but with holywood even the kid will know the result and still some people say it not up to the mark for sure when you have 80 cr compete 1500cr then we will know the result and at the end of the day its all about the story nothing can save any film without good story and biggest example man of steal so many people expect arecord film but its all about effect without any story but with krrish i want astory and effect can go to hell

  19. Syed imran 11 years ago

Wow!! Wat a combo of all hollywood sci fi movies… Background music is clear cut copy paste of tdr nd transformers… Was expecting at least this trailer to be big nd unique… Wit dis movie all the big films trailers of 2013 have been disappointments.., still wit a better second promo it can lead to sum furthet xcitement.., bt must agree dat the vfx r gud nd not seen in bollywood type.,, bt the problem is they hve usd the same vfx usd in all previous hollywood flicks..

Still watvr the case may b, the mobie will surely open big nd may even break the first wknd nd week collections… The rest content will decide its lyftime collections!!!

  20. saurabh 11 years ago

People should realise that while vfx does depend on the budget, it’s totally possible to enhance the effects aspects without relying entirely on cgi. 2001 A Space Odyssey came out in 1968 and Blade Runner in 1982 and their effects still hold up even today. This is because majority of the effects in those movies were in fact miniature scale models. Practical models would solve this issue to a great extent. Even Nolan doesn’t like cgi in his films. Nolan, Ridley Scott, etc rely on cgi only when they feel that a scene cannot be done practically. Inception had fewer vfx shots than Batman Begins, which seems contrary to what we see in the two movies. Stan Winston studios, the best effects company in Hollywood had handled the vfx for Robot. Inspite of it’s mammoth budget, many of it’s effects were substandard. The director should have a keen eye and a cinematographer who can map a visual landscape of the vfx shots. District 9 shocked Hollywood partly because it boasted of terrific effects and it was a low budget movie by Hollywood standards.
If we wish to improve the standard of vfx in our movies, we should look upon the older movies like 2001, Alien, Aliens, Blade Runner, Total Recall (the Arnold one), etc as our visual guides.

  21. sauravjha 11 years ago

Trailer brought mixed feelings. VFX in some scenes looked very tacky whereas in some it was good. But trust on Rakesh Roshan is much more than Anubhav Sinha ever acquired! So that will take care of story and direction part. And this will take care of Indian audiences, story has to be good then VFX won’t matter for them.

  22. saurabh 11 years ago

SRK’s company red chillies is behind vfx… Though he couldn’t use it in a good manner, Roshan is using in a better way

  23. Bored 11 years ago

I am surprised that Roshans went to Red Chillies for the VFX and are proud about the VFX work being done in Mumbai instead of approaching Hollywood Studios like Shankar does – misplaced faith imo (even though it looks like a step up and no worse than Ra One VFX)

If VFX turns out to be the weak point of this film – then Red Chillies will loose business in future.

    • saurabh 11 years ago

Bored, its still the best vfx in India, nd its way better than robot, even for me Ra one vfx was better than robot..

    • mate 11 years ago

For which movie, Shankar approached Hollywood Studios, Robot??? was it really done by some Hollywood studio. Then Bollywood should be proud that Red Chillies provide them such high quality VFX at such low costs. The VFX used in Robot were laugh-worthy to say the least.

      • Baba 11 years ago

i cant say about the entire film but robots climax was breathtakingly creative and refrsshing to watch even if sometimes tacky compared to the best of hw. but why to compare to the best of hw?

  24. Bored 11 years ago

Not sure abt robot but he got LOTR VFX guyz behind his upcoming ‘Ai’ …

  25. Saurabh 11 years ago

Read my post. He had got Stan Winston Studios for Robot. They had done the effects for Terminator, Predator, Iron Man, Terminator Salvation, AI: Artificial Intelligence, Aliens, etc. The late Stan Winston is a legend in Hollywood.
The cgi these days, isn’t handled by just one company. Weta digital (Lotr, Avatar) had handled the Krypton scenes in Man of Steel while the rest of the cgi was done by ILM (Star Wars, Iron Man) and Double Negative (TDK trilogy, Inception).
It’s wrong to assume that if the vfx is done by Hollywood companies automatically it’s going to be phenomenal. Green Lantern was done by Weta, yet it was thrashed for it’s cgi. This is coz director Martin Campbell had a hard time dealing with the vfx.

  26. Bored 11 years ago

@saurabh – it seems roshans have gone for all cgi being done in india to help and encourage the desi industry instead of going to hollywood.

btw, the low budget district 9 u talked abt still had a budget thats more than 1.5 times of the budget here, and that movie was made a few yrs back so that amt is without considering inflation.

  27. ank_16n 11 years ago

“The VFX used in Robot were laugh-worthy to say the least.”

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha…….

    just couldn’t add further 😛

  28. Saurabh 11 years ago

@Bored- It’s a good thing to rely on our own people and give an incentive to the desi cgi industry.

Yeah, District 9 is still big budget according to our standards. That’s why I said low budget by Hollywood standards.

But yesterday I watched the making of Blade Runner and was amazed to see that many of the scenes which appeared to be done using cgi were in fact done practically. Same with Aliens. Ridley Scott has a background in ad films. He does have a sharp sense of colour, lighting in cgi, the shadows and the textures. So finally, I think it boils down to a director and cinematographer’s eyes in differentiating lame vfx from good ones.

  29. Bored 11 years ago

That comes with experience. Bollywood till date has hardly done 5-6 movie which took up CGI in large scale – Hollywood has been dabbling in it for decades. We will get there eventually.

  30. Saurabh 11 years ago

At this rate it’s going to take some time coz sci fi as a genre is non existant in our movies.

  31. Bored 11 years ago

Endhiran climax was damn innovative – Shankar made best use of the technology he could buy.
Even Rakesh Roshan made full use of some very tacky effects in Krrish and its target audience went with the flow of narrative.

The point is – do the best with what u got.

  32. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

For me editing is biggest problem here rather than special effects (which do look “heavy” as in weight and not good)

This could well be worst edited trailer ever for any movie (not only superhero).

No emotional builtup / no introductions / nothing about superhero or other characters.

  33. Serenzy 11 years ago

Ohkay, given the budget they had in hand, I thought the trailer was quite good(and cartoon-ish too) on VFX/Special Effects department.

I’m serioulsy not too much ‘minding’ with the Spiderman/TDKR/X-Men/Avengers/MOS refences and copies bcz for me the “Ultimate Experience” of the movie matters in the end.

As a trailer, it could have been better but looks like the makers are unsure as to who exactly the target audience is?
Superhero Lovers, Teenage Crowd OR the Kids who adore almost anything with superpowers?

    • Serenzy 11 years ago

I was 10yrs old when I saw Koi Mil Gaya and gawd, I LOVED thet movie so much and Priety Zinta still remains my 1st ever on-screen crush.

Even as a 14-year old, I though Krrish was a crap of shit movie when all around me my friends were liking it.

Now this generation has been through all the Marvel/DC Movies and a RA.One with it… I wonder where K3 will stand now.

ps: Lot depends on Viviek Oberoi’s performance here.

  34. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

“Now this generation has been through all the Marvel/DC Movies and a RA.One with it”

I almost stopped breathing for a min after reading this line ! 😛

  35. max 11 years ago

3.7 million in just 2 days with more than 22000 likes the trailer create record on youtube and trend worldwide twice and you are talking about robbot and effect keep going and watch for diwali and hrithik power

    • mate 11 years ago

I suspect this is more a franchise power than Hrithik, I will not be surprised If Dhoom-3 crosses 3.7 million YouTube views in a single day. But It’s an unbelievable number no doubt, and will beat the previous record (for any Hindi film trailer i-e 8.1 million) by a huge huge distance. If we consider the Indian videos overall, then Kolaveri di seems out of reach that has 70 million view counts followed by Love mera Hit song, that has 43 million view counts. But then we know very well that Youtube is the only popular mean to access these song videos that help them to increase their view counts for ever, however a movie trailer is only valid till the release.

  36. Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

My son was continuosly complaining when he saw Krish for the first time yday “there is no villain” and moreover he was irritated over many sequecnes – it was not just about villain…

    Just stating.

Despite being a big fan of superheroes myself I think my son found the same thing lacking in this….

    • ank_16n 10 years ago

maybe bcoz Aamir was not there in krrish 😉

  37. Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

@Ank, it was more of a rona-dhona type melodrama (loud and OTT bollywood style) than a superhero film for most part.

    New Dialogue Promo

  39. yakuza 10 years ago

Rather than Making it VFX centric .. RR should have concentrated more on Flying action stuff, Krishh was bit enjoyable because there was some raw deal in it .. Rakesh roshan completely got it wrong this time .. it looks more like Krishh meets Ra.one .. With likes of audience who witnessed Gravity , krishh3 gonna complete disappointment.

New Action promo … check yourself what I am trying to say …

      aryan 10 years ago

Agree very bad special effects its not a horror movie but looks like a horror movie because of worst special effects.

  40. FS 10 years ago

Ra one looks classic against whatever we have seen so far of Krish 3 after the first theatrical trailer. After the trailer Roshan has got it all wrong to woo the viewers. Excitement is all time low now.

  41. sputnik 10 years ago

Another Promo. This is looking bad. Kangana’s expressions in the promo that yakuza posted are funny.

  42. Baba 10 years ago

too small dialogue promos to say much. but the tonality of the movie seems it is for kids like krrish and kmg was. hrithik is good as krrish but the scene where he is whirling in fast speed round kangana and that toad looks bad bcos of the expressions and body language of them. i always find kangana a bit unintentionally funny actress as spuntik said

  43. sauravjha 10 years ago

Looking bad and more bad with each passing promo. Would be a miracle of sorts if this do as well as being expected!

    Krrish 3 Dialogue promos

    • yakuza 10 years ago

Too much outdated stuff .. I just prey it don’t join the league of Himmatwala or Besharam in terms of disappointment at BO

      • Baba 10 years ago

why to pray for the BO of a film whose promos disappointed you. you should pray for its failure

        • yakuza 10 years ago

Crores are at Stake .. and Hritik is lovely guy, deserves happiness.

          • Baba 10 years ago

we should be bothered about what we deserve. we want to see a movie that gives value for money. the lovely star wil not refund the ticket money if you dont like the film

          • yakuza 10 years ago

Even if promos are irritating, movie can turn out good. I am just wishing that …

  45. yakuza 10 years ago

These songs of Kishan Kanhiya looks so refreshing even today in comparison ..

    and

  46. Baba 10 years ago

liked the 1st one …a helpless superhero in crisis. the second one is cheesy . third one is ok.

MP writer files plagiarism charges on Krrish 3
By Bollywood Hungama News Network, October 29, 2013 – 11:22 hrs IST
    #

Uday Singh Rajput, a resident of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh has claimed that he has originally written the script of Krrish 3. The writer has apparently pressed plagiarism charges on the maker Rakesh Roshan and has demanded a whopping Rs. 2 crore as compensation. Also, the writer has moved to the Bombay High Court demanding a stay on the release of the film this Friday if his demands are not being fulfilled.

While the hearing of both the parties has been scheduled today, Justice S J Kathawala revealed that the title ‘Krrish 2’ has been registered with the Film Writers Association on July 23, 2008. The complainant also claimed that the same script was used by the Roshans under a different title Krrish 3. On the opposition front, RakeshRoshan who is miffed with the allegations has issued a warning in High Court claiming that no funds must be granted to the writer until the details of the case has been discussed in court. Roshan also revealed that the script was written by Robin Bhatt and has been registered since March 3, 2011.

Krrish 3 starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Kangna Ranaut is slated to release on November 1.
