Kamal Haasan roots for Shah Rukh Khan to remake Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu

‘The alleged cold war between actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan seems to be never-ending. Now, the latest buzz is about the two Khans clashing over essaying veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s role in the Hindi remake of super hit Tamil flick Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. However, seems like it is SRK who’s likely to emerge the winner here.

A source close to the director Gautham Menon has revealed that Kamal himself has tipped SRK to play his role in the Hindi remake. According to the source, apparently, Kamal called up the South director and advised him to sign SRK for the role.

The source says, “Initially Gautam had zeroed in on SRK and Salman to play the role in his film. But he was having difficulty in finalising between the two. The role of a cop needed someone who can carry the look effortlessly. Salman recently did Dabangg, and everyone knows what a big hit it was; whereas SRK has donned the khaki uniform only once in One 2 Ka 4, which had bombed at the BO.”

So, while Gautam was contemplating on whom to get on board for his film, Kamal came into his rescue. “Kamal stepped in and advised Gautam to sign on SRK for the role. Though he respects Salman a lot, he believes that SRK is the right person to play his role in the remake of Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu,” the source adds.
Gautam is still to make the final decision, but sources add that he respects Kamal a lot and is likely to adhere to his advice.’
