It is story of 3 friends in Ahmedabad.

    1) Its has (local) cricket, Earthquake and 2002 incident of Gujarat state as backdrop.
    2) it is about friendship, love and loss.

The novel had quite a few layers, and clearly they seem to have change the title character, as he makes 3 mistakes in his life. I am looking forward to see how they have seen Ahmedabad, also this shall be the pre-2002 version.

One of the best novels by Bhagat imo.

Interesting trailer. Have seen Sushant Singh Rajput in a TV serial and he is a decent actor but did not think of him as star material. Had a hard time understanding what he was saying in some scenes of the trailer.

looks a story of three gays in those shirtless scenes. 😀 may be a bit too ambitious .

    • sputnik 11 years ago

LOL I thought that the male bonding was a bit gay too.

And I think it is set in early 2000s? but it looks more 80s than Special Chabbis

The maker is hardly intentional here, but the usual ‘over’ doing habit of bollywood takes it to the level of gay undertones.
In Bollywood ‘friends’ cant keep their hands off each other.

Not Just in B’Wood but in India[atleast in Mumbai], Same Thing Happens but Not in Any Sexual Way as Such.

not true, even here so much touching is not there. yes in some underdeveloped places like dharavi etc you can see it,but not in developed or posh places.

IMHO, Book/Novel Wise, Bhagat’s Best is ‘Five Point Someone[3Idiots]’ while his Worst is ‘One Night @ TCC[Hello]’

3MOML is a Good Book but during the End of the Book it gets all Silly Patriotic and Stuff and Action Shifts to Australia for a Moment.

So, I Believe they have Made the Proper Changes luking at the Trailers for the Onscreen Adaptation.

ps – Notice, Bhagat’s Every Novel/Book Name’s have ‘Numbers’ always present in them.

    Official Synopsis

Synopsis : Best friends Ishaan, Omi and Govind – young, ambitious and restless – are trying to make a mark in the India of the early 2000’s. These are exciting times – a new millennium has just dawned, India is a nuclear power and ostensibly shining – a perfect place for the 3 Ahmedabad boys to start a business that could be their ticket to fame and riches. In a country where cricket is religion, they hit upon a brilliant plan – to start a training academy that could produce India’s next sporting superstars! What follows is without doubt the greatest adventure of their lives, as they attempt to navigate the big hurdles in the path of fulfilling their dreams. Based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestselling novel “The Three Mistakes of My Life”, Kai Po Che (meaning a triumphant yell in Gujarati) is an unforgettable ode to friendship and the magical moments one shares with one’s closest pals – celebrating festivals, drunken dancing, watching cricket matches together, strategizing on how to catch the attention of the cute neighborhood girl, being there to watch each other’s back in troubled times and to celebrate one’s successes by screaming “Kai Po Che”!
