Jab Tak Hai Jaan Scenes Inspired/Copied from The Hurt Locker and The End of the Affair

As I already mentioned in my review that the the daredevil bomb defuser character of SRK is inspired/copied from Jeremy Runner’s character from The Hurt Locker. Check out this scene where Jeremey Runner works on defusing a bomb without a bomb suit just like SRK in JTHJ.

There is a scene in Jab Tak Hai Jaan where SRK keeps pulling a wire which goes on before saving Anushka from the blast. Here is the original scene from which it is inspired.

There are lot of dialogues about Samar Anand having defused 97 bombs in JTHJ but they pale in comparison to the number of bombs defused by Jeremy Runner’s character in The Hurt Locker. Check out the scene where he mentions the number.

The prayer thing is inspired/copied from The End of the Affair starring Ralph Fiennes and Julianne Moore. Here is the scene from the original where there is a bomb blast and one can see Julianne Moore praying.
