    @alfa-one,

    Very good selection for R.D. Burman’s birth anniversary. Had never heard this song before. Liked it a lot.

    Yes, nice song. I heard it first time too. Also, today while listening a radio programme got to know abt his contribution to “Sar jo tera chakaraye” song from Pyasa and him being assistant music director in Aradhana. These things I didnt knew.

    R.D Burman talks about this song here on the third page (45). This song was a unused song from Guru Dutt’s movie Raaz which was shelved. Guru Dutt did not give him back the two recorded songs which Mehmood wanted to use. He also talks about S.D. Burman using his composition Ae Meri Topi Palat Ke Aa and composing one song of Pyaasaa and having assisted on Aaradhana.
