Didn’t like the song at all poor Lyrics faltu singing by Rekha Bhardwaj it seems this is the weakest song of the album.

  2. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

Madhuri is nice (not her irritating accent off late) ,,, Ranbir is good. Female singer is good.

Song is OK…but somehow the spark is missing. Where is the Madhuri spark????

Last song of Madhuri with a younger hero I loved was this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ07sN1b-ZY

But then you cant put all the blame of aging on her na…Khans are more aged than her. I was just more irritated with her plastic accent when she came back….and too much reduced weight. But she looks just fine here…

Lets hope she doesnt go back the way she came here….all slim and lack of spark…

PS: Ranbir kisses her her on cheek as if she is an aunty – which I dont like. We have seen umpteen replicas of her …with the worst being Priyanka Chopra…anyways…

Bad song with bad lyrics and bad choreography. Madhuri is pointing to her crotch while singing via-agra and Ranbir is lifting up her Ghagra. And why would anyone want to make a comeback with a song which uses words like Viagra?

  4. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

viagra? i didn’t hear it. If its the case then damn!!!

    • sputnik 11 years ago

I mean their use of the words Via-Agra to imply Viagra or play on the pun.

a song you would expect from the youth icon of India who does progressive films 😉
the makers are trying every trick in the book to ensure BO but why madhuri for an item song? who cares about her these days? she is fat, looks old and doesnt have the spark anymore.there are 100s of good looking young girls out there.

  6. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    BABA

“but why madhuri for an item song? who cares about her these days? she is fat, looks old and doesnt have the spark anymore.there are 100s of good looking young girls out there.”

i wud agree with u there…but then there are fans of Z grade copy of her …Priyanka chopra!

In fact she was too thin earlier few months back, glad that she has put on some weight here. 🙂 I am a common indian audience who likes plumpness in women.

The more the flesh the more the more the pleasure 🙂

  7. Bored 11 years ago

This is visually painful! Madhuri literally gyrating her fatass.
Ranbir is a weird combination of Shammi and Raj Kapoor.

  8. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    Is the song so bad?

She is not pointing to her crotch Sputnik, its suggestive. But thats done in so much gracefull way ..and she is fine and song also fine imo.

    Is she really fat?

One of those times I feel I am an odd man out!

  9. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

I have been just been watching her smooth hand movements since yday. So much to learn about grace…

I havent even looked at her famous smile. The hand movements are so graceful…rarely have I seen such even in live dance performances!!

  10. ank_16n 11 years ago

    “Is she really fat?

One of those times I feel I am an odd man out!”

    no i agree she isn’t looking fat……
but song is Average neither good nor Bad..!!

see the problem is if Kareena becomes thin some would call it Too thin…while they would call a madhuri n Vidya fat….that’s pseudo Intellectuals for u..!!

while when a penelope cruz with her curves act in movies like Elegy or Pirates of the Caribbean 4 they would call them perfect Curves….that’s the whole point..!! 🙂

    • Baba 11 years ago

i dont know about pseudo intellectuals but let me tell you something – you are dumb ,
when you compare a penelope cruz curves to the fatness of madhuri.

this is how cruz looks in 2013

dont think i need to show madhuri pics

      • ank_16n 11 years ago

seems like either u didn’t read the comment or don’t know that Elegy or Pirates of the Caribbean 4 didn’t released in 2013…!!

        • Baba 11 years ago

i have seen how she looks like elegy. and if that is fat, than madhuri is an obese.

          • ank_16n 11 years ago

when did i said she looked fat in elegy…???

  11. Suraj 11 years ago

Before blaming anyone u have to have perfect evidances. i solely like the song, and bcoz someone does’nt like it the fact will not change. u-tube video of ghagra get lakhs of views and thousands of likes. critics appreciate the song. talking abt madhuri, she does’t look even more 35. and the type of grace and beauty she possess i dont think any of actress can have it. and more importantly it is not necessary that item song should be always valger and sexy. it can be a fantastic dance number like ghagra. someone said ‘who cares madhuri’ they should know the type of stardum she have today no one actress of her time have that whether she is juhi, ravina, manisha, urmila, sonali etc. so ‘what madhuri is?’ will show her two upcoming movies. and also because of madhuri the ghagra song will place madhuri and YJHD at high hight!

    • Baba 11 years ago

we saw her stardom in aaja nachle. she should take tips from sridevi on how to choose good scripts acc to age

      • sputnik 11 years ago

Though I never liked Sridevi except for a couple of movies (first half of Lamhe, Laadla, Judaai) and found her mostly irritating her comeback was excellent. She chose a good author backed role which allowed her to act rather than do another of those diva roles.

  12. Bored 11 years ago

yeah, never cared for sridevi – but a commendable comeback undoubtedly!

  13. Bored 11 years ago

This should be an easy 100 cr movie.

  14. Ankur 11 years ago

Madhuri will always keep doing item numbers kya? And nothing else to showcase except dance and smile? Why can’t she learn from Sridevi and choose good projects that suit her age and stature?

Ranbir Kapoor is odd. He reminds me of Shammi Kapoor when he dances. He might be good in understated roles but he looks out of place in roles that require energy.

  15. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    @Ank

Thanks for the comment and I agree with you …a bit here ppl will criticze …a bit there ..ppl will criticize other way..!!

    Btw Baba

Penelope has pathetic small ass in that pic. I (and most indians like me ) would prefer one which is large and bounces on the movement !!

    • Baba 11 years ago

big ass looks good on a small waist. i hope you are fan of 36-24-36 not 36-36-36 😉

  16. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

Baba …size doesnt matter 36 or 42 ..irrespective of that ..,, bouncing does matter …and fat contributes mostly to bouncing.

I can give you many links from youporn or other sites to prove my point but brother sputnik will block me then 😛

    • Baba 11 years ago

i dont really like the bouncing of obese women. :-/ there is difference between being curvy and being fat

  17. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    Personal choice Baba.

  18. Ish 11 years ago

What plastic accent are u talking about man? when you spend so many years in another country, it is perfectly normal to have a different accent LOL (same for Priyanka Chopra -even though I think she fakes it a little- or Abhishek Bacchan/Saif Ali Khan). So many people I know who have spent at least 5 years in an european country and their accent changed, I dont understand whats wrong in it. You should rather ask where do people like Sonam Kapoor (who spent all their life in India) get their accent from.

    • Suprabh 11 years ago

I totally agree. I will be honest- I have a work(read: in company of non-Indians) accent and not because it makes me sound smarter/cool but because I like it. I have had it since the time I am here -from day 1 and to be honest it has helped me in being part of the groups even better. One of my friends (a hispanic guy) said he thought I was born here..and he said its only because of the accent that he thought that way.

If Madhuri has a different accent its fine..may she picked it up and liked it.

and you are right about the Sonam Kapoor/Esha Deol/Fardeen khan/Zayed Khan/ kinds–who stay in India and have a hard time speaking native Indian languages (in their case Hindi).

      • hithere 11 years ago

Some people do it consciously within small period of time..Some over period of time learn it. And there are some blanket types..whatever you do they will still speak with Indian accent.

ps – But each of the varieties, tells something about the person!

    • Baba 11 years ago

Ish – just like its normal for madhuri to have developed a put on accent while living abroad, its normal for sonam to have a phoney accent. Most of the filmstar sons go to Convent posh english speaking schools like Bombay Scottish and so on and that is how ppl speak there. If you didnt know this, then i am telling you thats the case because I have freinds from that school.Even at home with parents, hindi is hardly used and they talk in that accent only. for them that is the natural or preferred way of conversing at house.

      • sputnik 11 years ago

        Agree with you Baba.

Even in early 90s in schools which had no sons/daughters of celebrities there were some who would always speak in English with a phoney accent. They thought it was posh and speaking in Hindi or native language was beneath them.

      • hithere 11 years ago

BTW Scottish accent is toughest to understand (at least for me). One of my coworker was from Scotland and I had hard time understanding simple sentences. And I guess same goes for South Indian accent for American people.

  19. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    @Baba
I wanted to comment on that but I thought aaj kuch jada hi comment kar liya. Besides I thought my comment may smell of regionalism – but it is just my observation about my surroundings.

Well in 90s perticularly in marathi high middle class there was this fad of talking in english at home also. Now I am glad that it has reduced. And I think many things contributed to this ..including level of finess in films to Shiv Sena…to social changes.

Only kids calling their parents as “Mummy” “daddy” continues – but that’s has gone deeper to lower income class as well. Its something to do with low self esteem.

I see the same thing in Bangalore now, even native kannadigas speak in english at home – its like maharashtra in 90s here.

    • Baba 11 years ago

marathis have another issue. If a non-marathi converses with them in hindi, they respond in marathi. They have another ill-mannered habit. If a marahti meets a marathi who is in the company of a non-marathi, the two marathis will start talking in marathi much to the embarassment of the non-marathi 😀

      • sputnik 11 years ago

The second habit is true for almost everyone whether they are Tamilians/Punjabis/Telugus or so on.

I give a damn to TV shows like this. But I had to see this. And it was worth it.

    • hithere 11 years ago

TV shows are good for health like Gossip 😉
ps – I don’t know much about dance, so I don’t care about postures. Things which are symmetrical and aligned to music is dance 🙂

  21. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

I am yet to get the gist of Kathak. I find it really boring.

Bharatnatyam is what I love as of now. I think I need to see more live performances of Kathak.

Not an expert on dancing ..but thanks to my visits to temples on weekends while in chennai for 5 years…I am in love with bharatnatyam.

  22. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

“marathis have another issue. If a non-marathi converses with them in hindi, they respond in marathi. They have another ill-mannered habit. If a marahti meets a marathi who is in the company of a non-marathi, the two marathis will start talking in marathi much to the embarassment of the non-marathi ”

Lol, good to know the developements. It was exactly opposite when I was in 20s or 30s. I or many like me would complain that even if one guy doesnt know marathi ..all will start speaking in hindi for him…or english.

I think Shiv Sena is a major force in this. Like it or not but marathi guys had low self respect earlier!

Even now if u go to Buldhana, Aurangabad, Parbhani etc ..they still speak hindi outside when u step out of house. That is because of Moughal Raaj so far. Aurangzeb was in maharashtra for so long. Even in Karnataka ppl know hindi only because of Tipu Sultan….anyways…thats another discussion…

In my days marathi’s were ashamed of speaking in their mother tongue. What u r saying Baba was like a dream of mine that time ..haha 🙂
    Seriously…

  23. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    @Baba

“well ,have heard a lot about the hosility of tamilians”

Depends again. Tamil race is spread out across Malaysia, Singapore and sri lanka etc. Their problems are very different than India. Its like another Kashmir – and politicians want it to be like another kashmir.

Even if u go to any extremes….like say Bengal or Punjab – they are divided in half and they had issues….similarly Tamil race had issues because of geographical differences !!

  24. sputnik 11 years ago

This is interesting. Some people in India think Urdu is a Pakistani language and Pakistanis think Urdu is a Indian language.

“If a Pakistani PM is taking oath from a Pakistani president @essel1, then why would u want to conduct ceremony in an Indian language, Urdu?”

“@TarekFatah Just for the record, Urdu-speaking people are still called in punjab as “Hindustani” 🙂 @essel1″

“A lot of urdu speaking people in #Karachi call themselves Hindustani”

    Read the whole conversation here.

  25. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

Thats really interesting Sputnik. Such a beautiful language being treated as na ghar ki na ghaat ki.

    • sputnik 11 years ago

      Yes its sad.

Baba had made a point of two Marathis speaking in Marathi in presence of a non Marathi speaking person. I have seen Punjabis from India and Pakistanis from their Punjabi province speak to each other in Punjabi and I felt like I was the odd one out.

I have seen people from Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Venezuela do the same.

  26. Tulmul 11 years ago

Urdu is poetic language and is knows as Army Cantonment language as its genesis is from Indian army camp …..

    • Dhamaka 11 years ago

paaji. once dishant on sb asked me the meaning of Urdu and i replied Lashkar (army)and he thought i am talking about lashkar e taiba.

  27. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

Yes sir, you are correct. How are you btw, and where are you.

  28. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

Well Sputnik, ppl talking in mother tongue in front of other who does not know the language is different topic and a language not being respected anywhere is a different one!

    • sputnik 11 years ago

Ha Ha. I know but I remembered that Indians and Pakistanis speaking in Punjabi with each other because of this Urdu and Pakistan topic. Urdu not being respected in Pakistan was news to me because all the Pakistanis I knew spoke in Urdu and their TV channels have all their anchors speaking in Urdu.

  29. ank_16n 11 years ago

    ” I
have seen Punjabis from India and Pakistanis from their
Punjabi province speak to each other in Punjabi and I
felt like I was the odd one out.”

really punjabi is still very close to hindi at least u cud get a little bit of it….

people in south don’t want to speak hindi despite knowing it……i have faced this myself in tamil naidu….
speaking tamil or ur mother tongue with a fellow man is not bad at all even in the presence of an ousider …what’s more odd is when u are trying to communicate in hindi he tries to show that he know little or no hindi i have faced it quite often in both delhi and parts of tamil naidu..!!

    • sputnik 11 years ago

Yeah have faced similar problems in Chennai with Auto Drivers who will not speak any language other than Tamil and pretend that they can’t even understand a word of any other language. But with the educated you can always speak in English.

  30. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

Yeah , thats a news a to me too. Really suprized and feel sad about it.

Anyways…you may not have seen a funnier scenario than me. A Punjabi friend of mine always forgets to talk in english even if other tamil friend told him so many times that he does not understand hindi that well…Even I have a tough time understanding his Punjabi fast-paced hindi then how can the poor tamil guy understand !! 😀

I have enjoyed these situations and I feel its not good to blame any one party. In this case I was really pissed of with the forgetfulness of the Punjabi guy …..but I learnt over a period of time that its OK. 🙂 I just enjoy now …instead of making both of them aware of each other’s culture 😛

  31. Dhamaka 11 years ago

In Pakistan not only punjabis even sindhis baloch saraikis and pakhtoons like to communicate in their regional language but urdu is used to bridge that gap and is generally accepted by all

  32. Anjanpur685Miles 11 years ago

    Thanks Dhamaka for that info.
