I am impressed and will watch this movie as i love movies in this genre. Now with quality movies included in the mix Akshay is really mixing it up well and dare I say this way he is going to leave all competition behind.

Must salute Akshay for his work ethics and this is a lesson for younger lot who are unable to produce movies at regular intervals. Can you believe Ranbir last release was Besharam a good 2 years back. Same with HR. Abhi is a lost case anyway.

Wish had a slightly older heroine. Even then for movie starved person like me its FDFS.

Not a bad trailer at some point looks like Rajnikanth’s Sivaji The Boss.

It reminds a lot of Hindustani with the whole vigilante fighting against corruption. There have been quite a few similar themed movies.

With the hero glorifying dialogues one can clearly see that it is a remake of a typical Telugu movie. It also has the Telugu actor Suman playing the villain.

Here is something interesting about Suman. Back in the 80s he was a rising star in Telugu movies and then he was arrested for making a Blue Film. His career as a hero pretty much ended after that. He did make a comeback some years later but he never could become a top star. When I was in school there used to be rumors that Chiranjeevi was behind his arrest as he was becoming a threat to his stardom.

Here is an article which talks about the same things.

“Veteran actor Suman who was an upcoming Superstar in the late 80s landed in jail for allegedly exploiting a Businessman’s daughter and shooting a blue film. This issue eventually paved way for the charming hero’s downfall. He was in jail for a period of nearly 3 years, until the cases against him were quashed by the court due to lack of evidence.

A lot of rumors have been in circulation ever since then and popular one among them is that Chiru who is the leading hero in Tollywood chalked out the conspiracy. “Chiranjeevi garu was the top hero at that time and I was the one who is next to him in the Industry. There might be many versions saying I was in jail because of someone. Absolutely, there is no truth in these reports. I believe, It’s my bad time. One of my friends in my close circle have done something wrong and I was the one to get effected,” clarifies the actor.

Suman was also the first person to face the Goonda act introduced by Tamilnadu government. He doubts there might be a political conspiracy behind the cases levelled against him.

Actresses Suhasini, Sumalatha and Bhanu Priya were the ones who openly came in support of Suman during those tough times. The actor claims statements given by these a-list actresses to a popular magazine saying ‘Suman is innocent. He will be out of jail soon’ gave him a lot of strength to him to fight the battle.”

Its Mallanna in Telugu and Kandhaswamy in Tamil. But, Gabbar is a remake of Tagore(Telugu) which itself is a remake of tamil film Ramana.
