RIP.
I had liked Deewana back when I saw it in 1992. Shah Rukh became a star with this movie and walked away with all the credit for the movie. Felt that Raj Kanwar did not get his due back then. It wasn’t the conventional love story debuts that actors used to have back then. Shah Rukh’s arrival only after intermission created a mini trend. Aamir & Saif made their entry after intermission in Parampara and Sunny made his entry near/after intermission in Damini.
Laadla was pretty much a scene-scene remake. I had seen the Telugu version earlier and I did not like Anil much in Laadla. Judaai was very good and is probably Raj Kanwar’s best movie. It was also a remake of a Telugu movie.
Found Daag-The Fire ok/decent when I saw it back then. Had liked Priyanka in Andaz.
RIP RAJ KANWAR
One of my favorite scene from movie Deewana
RIP raj kanwar
RIP, Deewana IMO remains his best work , brought Srk into limelight for the first time. His films i felt had recurring themes like love, betrayal, loyalty, & i have also noticed the female protagonists (deewana, jeet) under some conflicting circumstances marrying some other guy in his movies.
