“The sequel to the 2008 romantic comedy Dostana will go on floors next year. Earlier it was said that producer Karan Johar was not too happy with the script due to which the film couldn’t take off but now it has all been sorted out.
Producer Karan Johar confirmed the good news on twitter, “DOSTANA 2 is definitely starting next year….Script is locked…abhishek and john are ready!!! the boys are back!! Tarun is all set.”
In the original, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham pretended to be gay in order to rent an apartment from an older lady, but both ended up falling in love with their roommate Priyanka Chopra.
There was a buzz that Katrina will replace Priyanka in the sequel. The official confirmation however is awaited.”
