Don 2 had a solid second Monday as it collected around the 3 crore nett range as per early estimates. The collections are holding at multiplexes across the country. It is likely that the collections for the Hindi version will be around the 100 crore nett mark when the second week is over.
In West Bengal, Mysore and Tamil Nadu/Kerala it has turned out to be the biggest hit of 2011. In these three circuits it will emerge the biggest grosser ever after Three Idiots.
Overall the Hindi version of the film should cross the 115 crore nett of Ra.One (Hindi) while the 121 crore nett of Ready is likely to prove a stiff task.

The Hindi version will cross 100 Cr in 2nd week and lifetime looks to be 115 Cr..
With all versions, it ll be close to 120 Cr.

Bodyguard’s worldwide gross as at present is –
Indian Gross – 188 Cr.
Overseas Gross – 40 Cr.
Total Gross – 228 Cr.
Don 2 worldwide gross (expected) –
Indian Gross – 162 Cr. (At 120 Nett)
Overseas Gross – 70 Cr. (If it reaches 13 M USD mark. It was close to 10 M USD at the end of week 1).
Total Expected Gross – 232 Cr.
It will be a touch and go situation if movie performs better in 3rd weekend.

Raj bhai, Taran has tweeted that Don 2 has crossed 3 M USD in USA after its 2nd weekend. Looking at the trend, I would expect 2-2.5 M USD more for the 2nd weekend, which will take a total to 12 M USD by end of 2nd weekend.
Also, as per Taran Don 2 should complete 100 cr. nett in India tonite!

Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 had no opposition at the box-office and ruled supreme. The film collected around Rs 19 crores in second weekend with the overall business coming close to Rs 100 crores. Almost running housefull most parts of india and everyone hope it will cross more than 100 crore.

DON 2 is already a BB overseas and possible ATBB.
I had great hopes on the film crossing 4.5M in the USA but it looks like there was a huge drop in the 2nd weekend …(~75%)
UK should be strong and collect 0.75M in the 2nd weekend.
So, 2nd weekend should be 2.5M approx.
That would make the 10 days total to be 12M
The film should make 13-14M in the first phase ..70-72 crores.
And yes, it is very much on track to be the highest grosser for 2011. 🙂
