Ridiculous. 1.5ft Now I’m seriously doubtful about it’s BO perspectives. Taking Aamir in Dhoom franchise is the worst decision ever made by Aditya Chopra, he looks totally out of place here.
Did the makers expect Aamir to do a Hrithik??? Something about the hat and the glass window lookout, I get a Neal Caffrey vibe.
Not impressed, Aamir is looking out of place in the poster.

My point is why is Aamir shirtless? He isn’t Hrithik type hunk. I wonder whats the point behind it.
I am talking of poster only, no judgement about actual movie. Aamir did seem out of place in this poster.
Shirtless with a hat and standing casually with hands in pocket. An awkward ensemble. Don’t see anything more to it except that he wants to flaunt himself but is not eye pleasing at all.

Superb! Fantastic way to begin i know some people have already compared it with TDK’s poster and there is some merit in that comparison but as far as the marketing is concerned there couldn’t have been a better way possibly to begin! Looking forward to it now.

LOL. did some expect dhoom 3 to be brain over brawns? aamir posing semi nude in a hat . it was always going to be crappy with the tashan director at helm.this one it make his dispropriotnate upper body poster in ghajini look better ๐ his waist is too broad for his shoulders which are too small.
Would have loved to see Vidyut in that role, would have been great. The role which Aamir essays has acrobatic moves etc. which Vidyut can play and take to another level. Anyways, it is too early to judge anything. One never knows what is in it, unless watches it especially in case of Aamir movies.

Agree that Aamir looks like a kid. Should have worked on his lats. Would have made him more broad. Don’t know what to think about the Dhoom franchise. Was hoping for ‘it ends with a dhoom’ instead of ‘this year’.
Dhoom, IMHO, is supposed to inspire style as style is what the first one was all about. It made John Abraham, who was a nobody back then the star that we know today. The Hayabusa and hairstyle was a rage back then. But the second one just had two stars looking ‘cool’ with a much hyped kiss. It inspired nothing. Just as bike racing, D2 could have involved some adventure sport and a gang – Point Break style.
This one looks the same as D2, with another set of stars looking cool. And I bet there’s an overdose of slo-mo in the action.
Aamir’s bare back is not pleasant to the eyes; especially as the camera moves over his rather drooping shoulders.
But first time liked the concept of motion poster – police searching for him and then camera moves away – him watching them searching him – from a distance.
Maybe its just me here but the Hat looks super cool.
Yeah his shoulders droop too much. The shot could have been intimidating if he had those monster traps like Tom Hardy in Warrior or TDKR. The shot when Bane just turns around and scolds his henchmen is chilling from the point of view of physicality.
This is not tdkr.he is on opposite side of the law.
Its not just fans/admirers but even Aamir Sir has been openly talking about this to be the first film to go past 300 cr … quite a high bar!

So far, Dhoom series so far relied on style quotient over substance. In any which way, even with Aamir, its hardly possible for this movie to be even worthy of comparison with any Hollywood movies of this format. The only high/curiosity factor in this movie, is the novelty of having Aamir in the Dhoom series.
I have a gut feeling that it might disappoint Aamir fans the most, while the rest will lap it up as any other Dhoom series.

Aha! Was waiting for this type of news. This is how they are going to play it this time. Had been wondering how the build up for this movie, is gonna start. After gone viral Talaash promo and the only sensible TV program that was ever telecasted in India, its the only Indian actor who trained to be a gymnast. All for some probable lame Hollywood copycat.
Damn. I would miss the TV channels going beserk with Dhoom 3, promotions… Not in India now.

Its like these American TV series… the mainlead will have some special gift, Neal Caffery of White Collar, is a know-it-all con man, Patrick Jane of Mentalist is as title says a Mentalist, The Suits hero has photographic memory … Someway, Aamir has to be made unique, add some inimitable magic. In the recent years it has become a part of USP. Whether its real or not, no one will ever know for sure.

What fans believe has more to do with what they want to believe than reality. Not irritated. Just amused. I can make myself believe that Aamir is a superb tennis player (thats proven), great chess player, finishes Rubic puzzle in no time, read Vikram Sethi, can selflessly participate in social causes (including cultural shows in Pakistan), can ghost direct films, can direct ads better than admen and even direct movies….
Could be true. I mean successful creative people are what they are, because they have unlocked their own potential in many dimensions, compared to the rest, like us who sulk and comment in online forums.
But, this gymnast thing is a gimmick for sure.
