Dhoom 3: Baap ka Badla lene chale Judwa

I know this is a cheesy title .But this is all I can come up with. I am contaminated right now with the cheesy hamy masala of the 80s and 90s that this film is. With dilagues like “Bank waloon tumhari aisi ki taisi “ , twin brother twists, retardation , circus and so on. I am not to be blamed.

dhoom-3-3a

This is a story about two kids who grow up to be two retarded clowns ,one a little more retarded than the other and thier retarded father Jackie shroff and the retarded circus that they own which has only one trick from the start to the end.Too much retardation at display but cant help it.

The film starts with typical masala scene where the kid is surrounded by adult goongs and he just beats them up (yes he does) and slowly runs and escapes and the goons just keep watching him admiring how he runs. This habit of watching and admiring is repeated n times in the film so its not an exception. Jackie shroff has taken some loan from a bank and he is unable to repay it. He tries to convince them by doing a magic trick copied from prestige but the bankers have seen that film so they are not impressed but Jackie is unhappy that they cant appreciate this indiansed version of the film and he commits suicide saying the dialogue which by now is cult ““Bank waloon tumhari aisi ki taisi “.

The kid grows up to be aamir who is introduced semi nude with his back which has flabs on the side waist. He is determined to bring this bank to bankruptcy to avenge his fathers badla and he keeps stealing money from it and throws it in the air everytime. May be he doesn’t know that bank has hard earned public deposit money, not just the owners money but its ok, he is a villain,so what if he is giving an excuse of his baap to justify his robbery. Then he does the tap dance which is only meant to embarrass him. It is neither needed nor expected from a two left feet dancer like aamir. Then abhishek bachan is introduced in a kind of OTT south stlye action that makes it clear that the makers of the film clearly are not fond of him and are hell bent on making him look bad. Aamir gets introduced in expensive bikes and poor abhishek is relegated to auto rickshaw intro. Poor guy has to make do with whats given and also has to share screen with his colleague uday chopra. For some reason they are sent to Chicago to catch the thief. I am still trying to find the reason.

Abhishek comes to Chicago and challenges aamir to rob the bank again on tv. Aamir comes , robs, goes away and abhishek is neither able to protect the bank nor is able to catch the thief, as usual. What can he do if he is given a role what iftekhar used to do as police in 70s and 80s? Police is there to stand and admire watching the thief run in slow motion. And aamir is given a bike that is like genie in bottle. It can turn into just about anything that he wants it to be (boat, plane anything). But abhishek manages to do one thing, hit a bullet on aamirs shoulder while chasing him.

But later when the police try to find the mark on aamirs body in the circus, they cant find it bcos that was his twin retarded brother who got hit and he is the big “secret” of aamirs circus. This is the intermission point.

I forgot to mention about kat but its understandable. Bcos that’s how insignificant her role is. She comes during the kamli song where aamir is auditioning for a gymnast dancer for his circus. The camera is on her face whenever she speaks and suddenly goes 2 km away whenever she performs any stunt. I don’t need to tell you why. This happens during all the complex gymnast moves in various scenes , songs etc. Kat disappears after this and comes only during songs. But I don’t mind any of this till a point. This is a dhoom film.

But I am not sure if its dhoom post intermission. It becomes tare zameen par, Govindas Jaan se pyaara (1992) and many other bad old films with the retarded twin brother angle. There are so many scenes of the retarded aamir and his brother scenes from childhood, his visits to amusement parks, songs/dream scenes with Katrina in retarded mode . This goes on and on without any point or purpose. Finally , after I think some 30 mins later , abhsihek and police decide to end this family melodrama. The showdown between aamir and abhishek happens with lathis in the day and age of guns.and yes as usual, abhsihek gets beaten up, aamir is about to kill him but lets him go so that he can act in dhoom 4.Then in the last scene, both the twins are surrounded and the police is wiling to let them live but the twins follow the footsteps of their father and commit suicide in slow motion by falling from a bridge with the bgm Bande hain hum uske.

In the final scenes, Abhishek justifies how aamir was right in making the bank bankrupt just bcos they expect repayment of loan from customer. Next time don’t go and complain to some Banking Ombudsman if the bank denies you a loan. They have reasons to say –“ Saale Customers, tumhari aisi ki taisi”

@baba: Is this a review or detailed plot synopsis! If possible place ( Spoiler warning ).

So after Memento Aamir raped The Prestige as well?

    • Baba 10 years ago

well, its the same with all our filmmakers. they copied the double role angle from prestige without its context. ghajini had that memory loss aspect of memento but memento is hardly about it. We get overwhelmed by their films and copy them superficially/the flashy aspects. Its the same like the south indian movies obessesion of copying the decade old matrix style slo-mo action while completely overlooking its context.

  3. narad_muni 10 years ago

    baba, rating kya hai?
how does it compare to D2?

How do u think the movie will sustain at BO?

    • Baba 10 years ago

I dont think it belongs to the dhoom series.D1,D2 belonged to the same genre – action thrillers high on style, attitude and erotic undertones. The first half is comparable to those films and aamir as sahir overdoes it. He is giving his usual grins and snarls when its not needed. The action is like the race 2 parachute scene. anything happens! Its second half is comparable to tashan which belongs to the 80s style of filmmaking with the twin brother angle and fights between them over a girl and then one brother sacrificing for the other.aamir as retarded samar hams it up , especially in the climax and watchign it, i have new found respect for srk in MNIK as the autist 😀 I dont think its the worst aamir film. but actingwise, may be among his worst.I think it wil trend like ETT

You have written half-screenplay of the film 😉 Anyway I agree with some points. And yes, the second half is not dhoom. the scenes where Amir and ABhishek enjoying in theme park troubled my eyes.

I have all faith in aamir still. He has done a lot of good films in last 6 years to not let the audience pissed off by one film.

  9. sputnik 10 years ago

    Good review Baba.

LOL on ‘He tries to convince them by doing a magic trick copied from prestige but the bankers have seen that film so they are not impressed’.

Can’t believe some are liking this movie and some are trying to find positives in this movie with stuff like its dark and what not.

    ——————–

Watched the movie last night and here is my review.

Horrible boring over long movie. Its not like the Dhoom series is known for logic but this took the illogical stuff to a whole new level.

The revenge against the bank for his father’s death is inspired/copied from Now You See Me where instead of bank it is the Insurance company.

Aamir rides a bike on a rope from one building to another and the cops below him just stare at him with their guns. He is driving in a helmet with a glass visor and no one is able to see his face and there are no security cameras anywhere in Chicago which can capture his face. There is the tap dance song out of nowhere.

Abhishek and Uday’s flying auto rickshaw fight scene is so ridiculously OTT. Apparently if you are driving a auto rickshaw and sway the auto also sways. And if the thief leaves a message in Hindi they get the Indian cops to take over the case as the huge Indian population in Chicago apparently can’t read Hindi.

Aamir walks in and says I want to help you catch this thief and the Chicago Police Department just shows all their plans and security systems. In a bike chase Aamir’s bike converts into a boat and then into a submarine and then back into a bike. Abhishek is everywhere – he is chasing him on the street and then he is hanging from a helicopter and then again on the street with the cops. Chicago Police don’t have any shooters from helicopter so Abhishek has to do the job.

Then comes the twist which you would guess in the first scene itself if you have watched The Prestige – a double role copied from The Prestige and from then its all about Samar and his love story. There are stupid scenes of Samar going to amusement park and going on roller coaster rides with Abhishek. There are cheesy 80s style melodramatic scenes between the two brothers. Abhishek and everyone else’s character is so dumb that they do not even think that that there could be a humshakal/judwa.

Aamir tries so hard as Sahir with all the frowning and smirking. When you are playing a character that is supposed to be cool you are supposed to be casual – – something he should have learnt from John in Dhoom 1. And as Samar he hams and overacts like anything. He’s like Rancho on steroids. Abhishek plays the loser cop once again who just keeps getting fooled by the thief every time. Aamir even spares his life – if this is not the worst hero character in Bollywood I don’t know what is. Uday is irritating as usual. Katrina has a small role. She does a striptease in the Kamli song and does her usual cute stuff in other scenes and appears in songs. A lot of her acrobatics are done by the body double.

    • Baba 10 years ago

      LOL. great review.

“Aamir walks in and says I want to help you catch this thief and the Chicago Police Department just shows all their plans and security systesm.”

i dont know what was the point of the whole sequence? its a long scene and aamir explains how he can help abhishek catch the thief and save the bank from robbery. he gives some 4-5 min explanation to abhishek. next we see aamir comes, robs the bank and escapes just like any other day lol! so what was the point of that earlier scene? Abhishek had some dumb role

i hated all those amusement park scenes. it had no point.it was like wacthing tzp with a darsheel safary who has grown old.

      • sputnik 10 years ago

        LOL on Darsheel Safary comment.

Actually in the scene where Aamir tells Abhishek that he wants to help the clown and that wo bhatak gaya hai looked straight out of TZP where Aamir talks to Darsheel’s father about Darsheel.

        • Baba 10 years ago

I dont know what was happening in second half? it was as if a new movie had started. samar writing his name on the fog on bus windows, buying lollipop , happy burgers in amusement park, enjoying rides with abhishek, dreaming and talking about his puppy love for kat. who cares how a retard spends his day! just before intermission this same retard could manage to escape the Chicago Police and now we have to believe he is this little innocent child.

      • Dhamaka 10 years ago

        lol baba great review… 😀
the banker has indeed seen the Prestige but abhishek being a busy cop never seen that film thats why just before interval he repeatedly asked Aamir “Kaise kiya tum ne” 😀

  10. saurabh 10 years ago

@sputnik, asking out of curosity how can somebody can guess that “Abhishek and everyone else’s character is so dumb that they do not even think that that there could be a humshakal/judwa.”… Like judwa is NT common…
ps: hvnt seen movie nd neither an Aamir Khan fan… Asking coz I thought its tough to think of an judwa angle normally in real life of course if u hv NT watched the bollywood movie too much,

@baba, I was thinking ant the same like how they r justifying that a retard innocent, autistic child is doing all the robbery…

    • sputnik 10 years ago

When someone shoots a guy and the guy has no mark on his body what does it imply? It has to be a body double or look alike or Judwa. How many Bollywood movies have been made using the judwa angle?

I don’t know if you watched The Prestige but Michael Caine tells Hugh Jackman that there is a double involved but its Jackman’s character’s ego and obsession that cannot accept such a simple thing behind it.

  11. mate 10 years ago

Saw the movie and liked it inspite of many cringeworthy action sequences. Although the film drags in 1st hour, but Aamir has done a great job both as Samar and Sahir, and it’s only his act that make the movie worthwhile for me. Fantastic Khantastic Mindblowing. The only drawback in Aamir’s act is his embarrasing moves in that tap dance. The choreography of Kamli song is brilliant. The mutual dialogues between Samar and Sahir where they fight over Alia is the best scene, followed by the scene where Jay tried to convince Samar/Sahir for surrender. Can’t say which is the best movie of the franchise, but the movie I enjoyed the most is certainly this one.
As far as BO is concerned, It will definitely work and may touch 250 mark. The weekend is looking in 92-95 cr range (Hindi) according to BOI. And it has the legs to sustain in weekdays too.

  12. Saurabh 10 years ago

A bit off topic. The genius regarding The Prestige for me wasn’t the twist at the end and the prior allusions to it, but the argument whether the sci-fi element worked for real or that magic is not real as shown by the expository scenes showing the mechanics of each trick. The diaries and the unreliable narration of their contents are there to fool the lead characters and the audience as an extension. All the events leading up to the final scene prove the concluding line: ” You want to be fooled”.

Regarding Dhoom 3 I’m appalled that Aamir again butchered Nolan by taking the superficial elements from his movies without even feeling the need to think if he can add something from his side to make the idea exciting. And he says Memento was confusing.

  13. alfa.one 10 years ago

Nice review @Baba and Sputnik. One thing missed by both of you. Not even a single time they have shown how these robberies were executed by Aamir.

  14. Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

Havent read your review in detail Baba. As I sense lot of spoilers. And Sputnik – everyone is not busy checking twitter/FB continuously – I didnt know this till I saw the title of this post.

This looks like to be Raavanan; Enthiran/Robot; No Smoking kind of deal to me. Some people absolutely hated them and some people loved them very much. Going by Utkal and Abzee’s reactions I hope I like it (they had loved Ravaanan and Enthiran). Seeing this on 25th.

  15. jj 10 years ago

Agreed its a very bad movie, but this review if you can call it one is in bad taste. Writing out the story is not review.
Agree with Saurabh on Prestige, the machine never worked and Tesla was just eating money. Hugh Jackman’s character brought his old look alike to trap Borden. Read this one of the articles with enough explanations throughout the movie.

When its first trailer came , i had said tiger shroff should have been in this and this could be his ideal debut as its a gymnast role. I take back those words. I think all his talent would have been wasted in this 80s masala mess. There is hardly any proper gymnast scenes in it. What it has is slo-mo chase scenes in first half and twin retarded brother drama in second half.

seocondly, i was the only one who said the bande hain hum uske song sounds tragic and it will be used in the end when aamir dies . That is exactly what happens in the end 😀

  18. sputnik 10 years ago

The movie has so many plot holes – actually its anything goes as far as screenplay is concerned.

Samar robs the bank but he does not see Jai Dixit chase him? He is right in front of him on the bridge. He cannot recognize Abhishek just because he has a beard? And Sahir does not tell him that he met Jai Dixit and that he told him about their plan and all that?

How did the cops know the brothers will show up at the dam?

Abhishek’s character is not like that of Iftekhar’s. Actually Iftekhar never got tied to a rollercoaster or spared his life by the villain.

I think they should have not used bankwalon – just said tumhari aisi ki taisi that way it would have meant writers were saying it to audience.

    • Baba 10 years ago

“He cannot recognize Abhishek just because he has a beard?” – he cannot bcos the unwritten rule of 80s masala is – if you wear a moustache, you look like a different person

“How did the cops know the brothers will show up at the dam?” – lol. i had asked the same question to my friend when i saw it in theatre . The twins escape in the night and they are still on the bike in the next morning and suddenly they see police has surrounded them. I think the director was in a hurry to finish the film. He did not even care to attach any logic to it.

      agreed on iftekhar

“I think they should have not used bankwalon – just said tumhari aisi ki taisi that way it would have meant writers were saying it to audience.” Haha. Actually that last end credits the two aamirs walk togther making weird facial expressions on the camera . It looked like they were mocking the audience there 😀

will say this about the criticism of slow motion sequences today – slow motion by itself is never bad.it depends on how you use it and where you use it.It was initially used in films to highlight certain important moments in a film .In action films, it was used when an action star does some move or its a “replay” in slow motion after the same move was shown in real time . This was done when the director believes that it is deserving enough to get the full attention of the audience so as to appreciate the brains and skill that went into executing that move or scene, which otherwise some of the audience may miss if shown in only real time. I think its the excessive use of wirework and then doing slow-motion that has gotten into the nerves of everyone. wirework involves no skill or sensibility.anything can be shown, physics can be fucked.its like watching replays of kid doing bungee trampolines.

  21. Saurabh 10 years ago

The reason I’m angry with Aamir isn’t because he did D3, but he took the audience for granted, like with Ghajini. Expected to see the movie bear his stamp of intelligent filmmaking with some sense and logic to the action and it’s purpose and execution. But he doesn’t seem to think much while doing the commercial stuff. Haven’t seen the film. Don’t intend to after watching Aamir’s intelligent take on Memento.

The slo-mo use to heighten the action just deflates it’s impact. The point of action, for me, is that the audience should ‘feel’ the action, which is why I love the Bourne franchise and the TDK trilogy. The use of slo-mo has made the action look like a dance than a real fight devoid of some stakes. When I watch the rotating corridor fight in Inception, the filming itself with the use of two cameras (one locked in the floor of the set and the other peeking from the outside into the set) makes me appreciate the inventiveness of those scenes. Now consider the fights in Commando, where the fight choreography and the stuntwork was the best I’ve seen in Hindi movies in a really long time. But the multiple replays from different angles screaming ” Hey! look at how Vidyut accomplished the back flip. In case you missed, here’s another replay” were really off putting and distracted from the action. Action choreography and it’s filming are different things. Efforts are put in the choreography but not in the filming, hence my disdain for modern slo-mo/wire work action.

    • Baba 10 years ago

I dont think there were much slo-mo scenes in commando.most were slo-mo repeats of the real time moves for the less discerning audience who cant catch or appreciate it in one time.that is there in the best of martial arts films around the world and its recommended(though personally, i can do without them). I will give you an example from comando only. There is a scene in commando where he takes down that foreign fighter by combining two different moves from two different disciplines. He started with an “around the world swing” which is also used in dance and ended it like a kung fu take down. Not many will be able to appreciate/notice this in the first and only viewing . Then there are some jahil like krk may even confuse it for random “uchal kood” 😉 .hence the repeat in slow motion.

“The reason I’m angry with Aamir isn’t because he did D3, but he took the audience for granted, like with Ghajini. Expected to see the movie bear his stamp of intelligent filmmaking with some sense and logic to the action and it’s purpose and execution.”

If you expected to see intelligent film making in films like Dhoom 3 and Ghajini then what more can I say. And I assume you had seen their promos before venturing into the theatre 😉

For that there are many Aamir movies and many yet to come. Have faith is all I would say!!

  23. Saurabh 10 years ago

    @Aman
Read my post again. I haven’t seen the film. Won’t see it. Hell, haven’t seen D2 as well. Loved the first one only. I prefer watching Kanti Shah’s Loha and Gunda, where the maker honestly admits what he is showing instead of cheating like these bigwigs. And he delivers. Big time! Obviously I don’t expect any intelligence in blockbusters but Aamir’s name carries a kind of weight with it because of the stuff like Lagaan, Sarfarosh, TZP, Dhobi Ghaat, etc. So it’s not wrong to expect that he would put some kind of sensibility in the blockbuster stuff. His own voice. The best example is Nolan. When he was doing indie stuff like Memento, Insomnia, I always felt what kind of action movie would this guy make? The result is one of the best actioners of modern times. My point is that each of Nolan films, big or small, have his stamp on it. You can make out that it’s a Nolan film by the visual style, music, etc. What would happen if Nolan decided to make a Bond film? The result was Inception. Unfortunately Aamir doesn’t feel the need to infuse this kind of sentiment in the blockbusters. Had got a a bit excited about Ghajini back then because of the marketing. But we all know how that turned out.

    @Baba
Unfortunately, people like KRK will still interprete it as ‘uchhal kood’

Q: What is the best compliment you received for Dhoom 3?
A friend of mine called me from Singapore to tell me how he along with a group of people went to see the film. These people don’t know Hindi and do not know anything about me. They do not know who I am. They did not believe that it was the same person playing a double role. They thought there were two actors who look alike playing separate roles. That I think I was a compliment.

    • Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

Dhoom3 double role is technically so good – notice the dialogues where one aamir is moving around another, they both eating one apple ; both debating in front of mirror – that it may look like two ppl to someone (although it sounds stupid). Haven’t seen such finesse in technique in double role earlier.

Lot of hard work has gone into editing, technique, direction and acting in such scenes.

      • Ipman 10 years ago

did you see the finesse in technology in the climax? when both the twins are falling down, their shirts are flowing in downward direction when it should fly upwards as they are falling from a huge dam. rest i wont go into the “techniques” of the action scenes choreography! much has already been said

        • Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

The double role scenes were technologically as bad as any other Bollywood movie with double roles.

        • Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

It is one thing to dislike a movie and it is another to try hard to prove everything about it is crap by posting photo-shopped pics.

          • sputnik 10 years ago

That’s a actual screenshot from the movie. The only thing they did was superimpose that text on it.

May be while admiring the “finesse in technique” you forgot to observe the actual scene.

Its one thing to like a movie because it stars your favorite star and it is another to try hard to prove that a movie is “classical drama” and say that “Lot of hard work has gone into editing, technique, direction and acting” when almost everything about it was crap.

Lol..he had the best role in dhoom 1. He was pretty decent in it too, barring a couple of scenes where he over acted. He managed to pull off a cool cop character there, unlike in 2 and 3 where he comes across as a complete champu.

“Its one thing to like a movie because it stars your favorite star ”

Tum hi bach gaye the yeh kehne ke liye.
    Sigh !

I didnt try to prove anything that it is “classical drama”. I could have gone and on. Last time I got pissed off a bit only because some people dismissed my opinion conveniently as ‘typical fan rant’ etc and I posted 4-5 comments in that rage. And there you go again…

    • Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

(cont) but you and others are certainly trying hard to convince everyone on this blog that everything about the movie is crap time and again , posts after posts, comments after comments. When the fact is movie has been liked and loved by many – if you dislike it – fine; you have already stated that but why force your opinion on others time and again?
btw that pic is not from the movie.

      • Ipman 10 years ago

no one is forcing anyones opinion on anything. its an exchange of opinions. and when you make unhinged hyperbolic arguments about a movie or a star you love, you have to back it up with the goods/facts. i gave you a such a basic example of the many technical glitches of d3 in climax scene and you said you never noticed it in the scene.and then you want us to believe that others on the blog did not notice the “technical brilliance” in the movie and you did?

        • Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

I agree. One has to back it up. First of all I dont think my comments were hyperbolic. Regarding finer points – I dont have print of it on my PC and I didnt see the movie again which I had planned to see earlier in last week. So cant pinpoint exact details.

When you say I have to back up my hyperbolic comments – same goes true for akkh thu and other such comments which go on and on without any solid backing. They are repetitive in nature.

Anyways, this is a closed topic for me. This is like Raavanan or Agent Vinod for me which I found brilliant in every department. That time I didnt get ridiculed cause Aamir didnt star in them.

Just wanted to point out that how a blog can be careless and over-assuming on the movie it has not liked (by majority of its members).

“Just wanted to point out that how a blog can be careless and over-assuming on the movie it has not liked (by majority of its members).”

            Yeah true!!!

Especially when these members are closet Aamir-haters who pretend to care about his choice of scripts when the truth is that they are pissed off because the records of their fav stars were thrashed left, right and centre.

          • Ipman 10 years ago

how do you agree to what i said when you dont find your comments hyperbolic? 🙂

if you think people outside tq are singing praises on the technical marvel of d3, think again. It is you who is over-assuming based on its BO number.here is a link of the top rated user reviews of dhoom 3 on imdb (which is famous for being pro-aamir website). almost all the top rated reviews are negative on the film and have said the same things discussed on this blog.

  31. Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

Ipman, you are telling me to read online voting and posts of how some X number of ppl felt? 🙂 That is the job of ppl who are mostly online on social forums / fb/twitter/imdb etc. Who enthusiastically watch/trend/discuss a movie beyond what the movie is. I liked the movie and I stated what I felt. Thats all. (had got pissed only because of ppl over-assuming my inclination of me liking it).

I had already said it 3-4 times I guess. In case you didnt notice. I had said this is closed topic for me now. I stopped short of writing “period” with an exclamation mark in my last comment …and pls dont bug me so much till I actually start getting my periods!

    • Ipman 10 years ago

i gave you the link to the user reviews of imdb members, not a random online voting. I can also try to find your old comments , if needed, where you had supported the authenticity of imdb and its member reviews which you are now questioning 😉

      • Anjanpur685Miles 10 years ago

where did I question IMDB authenticity in above comment?

Anyways, I think you just want to communicate. Please pardon me, I have to water my plants. TC, see you some other time.

        • Ipman 10 years ago

blogs are meant for communication. are you sure you have to water your plants ?

@Baba – I think Aamir is an emotional superstar who appeals mainly to over-emotional fans. He himself cant think logically (proved again and again in his films), so how can anyone expect his fans to be logical ???

Ab baas bhi karo yaar …

    • Ipman 10 years ago

LOL.agreed. i think he is trying to find reasons to convince himself that aamir signed the film because its a classic drama, technical brilliance and what not.when it comes to commercial films, aamirs script sense is just as worse as the other stars.

“This is like Raavanan or Agent Vinod for me which I found brilliant in every department.”
@Anjanpur685Miles- Good. Chalo koi to mila jise “Agent Vinod pasand aayi”. Really, I also liked this movie too much (except dragged climax).

    • Ipman 10 years ago

i like the songs of agent vinod a lot

    • shan 10 years ago

I liked Agent Vinod too. It was a good espionage thriller within the commercial confines. It was what Ek Tha Tiger should have been – fun, at times thrilling, with a badass agent saving the day. Parts of the films and the climax were too dragged and the climax had a surprising resemblance with that of The Dark Knight Rises (which released 4 months later). I love the way the song Raabta has been shot. It is haunting. Such experiments are hardly noticed when the movie flops (another case in point – the flashback scenes in Jaan-E-Mann). None of the people who posted Travel Agent Vinod jokes on their fb/twitter profiles may have even noticed that nuance.

  35. shan 10 years ago

Btw, does anyone else also think that Aamir looks a lot like Walter White Jr (Breaking Bad) in the pic on the right in the main post? 😀 That expression somehow reminded me of Flynn. 🙂

very funny interview. aamir keeps quoting BO figures (producer numbers) throughout the interview to defend d3 and then says he is never into numbers!

Arey naheen bhai, aamir never think about nos. He is above all these. He only intend to give quality films to public !!!

    • Bored 10 years ago

According to Aamir only YRF is reporting correct nos and not any other producer (CE did same as 3I and K3 did less according to him).

But then he also implies YRF fudged numbers for ETT when they reported 199 cr … Why does these stars make such fool out of themselves? Thoda soch lo – phir pheko!

      • alfa.one 10 years ago

“Why does these stars make such fool out of themselves?”

        • Because they are fools and double standards!!!

great piece of wisdom by aamir khan

“If people had not liked me that would have been a problem. But given that the film did a business of Rs 285 crore in India and Rs 160 crore worldwide, I guess the majority did,” Aamir reasons.
