If well appreciated, it has 3 open weeks, until Gunday arrives on 14th Feb, assuming Hassee To Phassee is no competition.
    1st Weekend 80 Cr
    1st Week 120 Cr
    2nd Week 50 Cr
    3rd Week 25 Cr
    4th Week 10 Cr
    Rest 5 Cr
    Lifetime 210 Cr

Mixed appreciation (good in single screen, avg-bad in multiplexes) :
    1st Weekend 75 Cr
    1st Week 105 Cr
    2nd Week 30 Cr
    3rd Week 10 Cr
    Rest 5 Cr
    Lifetime 150 Cr

Negative appreciation (avg in single screen, bad in multiplexes) :
    1st Weekend 60 Cr
    1st Week 80 Cr
    2nd Week 20 Cr
    Rest 10 Cr
    Lifetime 130 Cr

Terrible reports like Besharam or Himmatwala (below avg in single screen, disastrous in multiplexes) :
    1st Weekend 50 Cr
    1st Week 65 Cr
    2nd Week 15 Cr
    Rest 10 Cr
    Lifetime 90 Cr

Personally, I feel lifetime will be in the 175 Cr range, since hype is low than typical Salman starrers, especially considering he is coming back more than a year after Dabangg 2. I feel this is the movie where Salman will pay for the bad movies he gave in Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2. The goodwill from Dabangg and Ready has run out. Nevertheless, Salman being Salman, even with mixed appreciation, this movie will end up making more than top grossers of other mass stars like Akki and Ajay Devgn. Wont be good enough for today though, where Dhoom 3, Chennai Express, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Krissh 3 have already raised the bar so high.

Dhoom3, CE, YJHD, Krissh 3 all had high production values.. Jai Ho seems to have low production value… The buzz for the movie is only due to the presence of a big star. It has nothing else… no good trailer..no amazing songs…Movie will create history in Single Screens because of Salman. Will probably do decent business in multiplexes. IMO 150-160 crores will be a very good collection for the movie but my prediction is slightly below 150 crores.
Kick will have high production value and will get close to the records of Dhoom3 if not break it.

SS weekend bumper+ hoga multiplex excellent hona chahiye agr bumper nhi to ,. SS advancr bhi bhut jyada he par multiplex utna nahi he

I won’t be surprised if it is better than Dhoom 3 and CE in single screens. IMO Jai Ho will go Wanted way…Really very big in single screens and average to decent in multiplexes.

Agree with Sanjeev. Also, promos make it look like a single screen friendly typical maar-dhaad film, with not much for the multiplexes. I dont think this will have the layers of a Rang De Basanti or Lage Raho Munnabhai to make a mark with the urban audience.

Going to give this one a miss in theatres. First Salman film I’ll be missing since Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar in 2006.

Jai Ho Advance: Single Screens Phenomenal Overall Good

Jai Ho has had a good advance with single screens phenomenal. There are some single single theatres in places like Jodhpur, Lucknow, Indore etc which have a 25-30% better advance than Dhoom 3 or Chennai Express. The Salman factor together with action has been working like magic at single screens since Wanted in 2009 and its no different with Jai Ho.

In the UP, Rajasthan and CI belts, single screens have probably seen the best advance ever but there is a lag at multiplexes in places like Delhi, Punjab, Bangalore and Kolkata compared to the advance of other recent big openers.

Still the advance overall is good but less than Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and at multiplexes it is less than Bodyguard also. The film has a near perfect release with most multiplexes outside South allotting most of their screens to the film as the holdovers have either run out of steam or were not doing well anyway
