Released 5 years ago, RACE registered a record-breaking opening on its first day and went on to collect a handsome amount of 63cr in its entire run which was excellent back then! Looks like RACE 2 is all set to double that figure. Starring Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandes, Amisha Patel, RACE 2 is directed by Abbas- Mastan and the the film is about to release on 25th January. The music has been decent but the film will still start with very good collections because of the brand name.

You are over optimistic…cannot see first day collection above 10cr.
hoping the movie to be da first blockbuster of 2013… and i think it has the potential to be a BB.
Race[4/5] is a Movie that Highly Entertained Me back in 2008 and with an Electrifying Starcast and Music, it did a Terrific 63cr back then.

5yrs down the line, I wud say the Race Brand is Awaited but Not akin to a Golmaal/Dhoom/Dabangg Level but Not even like Jism/Murder/Raaz/Jannat either.
They have the Twists and Turns, Abbas-Mustan, Saif-John and Hotties too.
So, In Respect of being an Entertaining Thriller, Race2 will Open HUGE Everywhere and what aids it is the Fact that Fri-Sat-Sunday, all are Holidays.
A Humongous Weekend of 47/50cr is Sureshot unless sumthing goes Horrendously Wrong.
Given it’s Pritam’s Music with Tips, the Songs have been Surprisingly Mediocre to say the least.
So, Now it’s in the Hands of AM and the Actors to Uplift the Movie.
I Predict a Lifetime of 108-120cr Level for Race2[Similar to Agneepath BO Case-Study which Released Last January.]

I have listened to the Music Dear and it’s Nowhere close to Race, Dhoom, Cocktail/LAK Or Pritam Da’s Music with Bhatts or Stuff like Metro/Gangster/Barfi!
Only ‘Be-Intehaan’ is Good but Inferior to ‘Mujhpe toh Jaadu’.
Race was very good…..
But i don’t think Race 2 will have a Bumper opening..!!

@serenzy.. Agreed itz nt pritam’s best music till date bt still it bears dat typical flavour which is present in his movies.. It is a good to decent soundtrack wit my fav being party on my mind.. ye iguess race 2 will be saif’s highest till date… and i think it vl be even his biggest hit and highest grosser of his career. If I am not wrong, love aaj kal is saif’s biggest solo hit..
Yes, LAK is his Biggest hit but Cocktail is his Highest Earner.
trailer of movie was very Good and liked by most of people ,so expecting good numbers on first day likely 12.5+ cr
race 2 is poised to become the first 100 cr grosser of saif… hope he enters the club with this flick…
