Parveen Babi was unfortunately right about how she cannot shatter in pieces and there is nobody to pick them up.

Parveen Babi and Zeenat Aman are grossly underrated beauties of Indian Cinema. Just because they played modern women in 70s/80s – but there is no style icon like them till date or the way they carried themselves in western clothes and with grace with sexuality (including today’s heroines).
They were so comfortable in what they were doing and wearing and carrying themselves so well with grace. Something which even today’s heroines struggle a lot and ham ….
“there is no style icon like them till date ” completely agreed. i am yet to find an actress in bw who could match those two in sensuality and style. to say that they were way ahead of their times is an understatement.
Glad that you agree ๐
Just observe their body language in all songs – they are so comfortable and sensual and graceful.
completely agreed Ritz !
“i am yet to find an actress in bw who could match those two in sensuality and style.”
Ipman – Today’s heroines looks like item girls when compared to these two !
By that time I was not grown up (wrong sentense, Bored can pick up on this and criticize me and decide I am a useless person etc …)
……. Maybe I was 6-8 years. But i grew up on this songs on Parveen (absolute fav of mine along with “Gori zara hasde tu” starring Dev anand – these are the two songs I still remember in my childhood ):
This song is like a glue, cant get of my mind ever!

PS: My father had a cassette of it and he used to play for me manier times. ๐ (though he dont like Bachchan)
pps: I havent read a single line of the main post
PPPS : Its from stardust, so who cares? ๐
(I will make a separate post of which songs affected me in childhood, but thats another topic)
@ritz,
Used to love Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain song in childhood too. Please make that post on songs that affected you in childhood. I think it would make for a interesting post. I have some favorites of mine too which I will add in comments on that post.
Good to know ! Sure, will make that in a week or so.
Thx
The intensity / vibration of this so similar to only the song in recent past:

Its that kind of song, which kids will remember for years. No matter how one rates Raju Hirani or his sad melodramatic stories. This is what will stay with all kids or adults for next 30-40 years.
Me exaggerating? Maybe , maybe not…
But I cant forget this ever from my brain from childhood:
I am sorry I diverted the topic. ๐
But do they make songs like this (on such topics anymore?) ?? !! ??
