there are similar comments for every star sons first film, i remember the premiere of saawariya. dilip kumar came out and said “first half behtareen hai” . did he meant to say “second half is unbearably pathetic”? πŸ˜›

hmm I watched Himalaya Putra in theater. Did not mind the movie and thought Akshaye was ok back then.

Movies like this and Barsaat were basically show reels of the star sons – look he can act, fight, dance and so on.

” I watched Himalaya Putra in theater” koi majboori thi kya? πŸ˜‰

barsaat was another bad debut. the film had a very irritating long role of danny in second half. and movies with too much of chases dont do well anway. i had said it in your chase thread..

I think Rakesh-hrithik got the mix just right. the film was also good as well as it turned out to be a perfect show reel for hrithik.

Nahin. I was the Sanket of my times πŸ˜‰

Used to watch a movie if it had a few hit songs and watched it for just time pass and to also check out if Vinod Khanna’s son was any good.

Barsaat first half was entertaining but second half was not good.

Agree that I Rakesh-hrithik got the mix just right and that KNPH was also good and it turned out to be a perfect show reel for hrithik.

I am the older Saket of my and his time too..at the same time I am the single screen dependent too–except that , that single screen is of my Laptop.

      • Reddemon 12 years ago

It was a hit song too and it used to come so much on promos back then. Never seen/heard that song on TV once the movie flopped.

Movie had two more hit songs Na Woh Inkaar Karti Hai and Tune Kaisa Jadoo Kiya which I used to like back then.

Even Salman had excellent debut. Hrithik and Salman are the only Star kids who had very good debut.
Even Uday Bhai was launched like a SuperSTAR πŸ˜›

Sputnik strikes to me as that Scholar/Geeky Student who always sits on the 1st Bench and who the whole class Hates but the Teachers Love the most.

Ha Ha. I was never a scholar/geeky student. I always used to sit near the last benches (1 or 2 rows before) and sat on the last bench in 10th. I started sitting in front bench from 11th though and was teacher’s favorite in 11th and 12th πŸ™‚

        *I Hate such students!! :@

        .

I myself, am a Proud Member of the BBA(Back-Bencher’s Association) πŸ˜€

Had the Best Group ever in 10th and 12th.. Used to Harass the Strict Teachers and were good to all the Professors and Sir’s espc. the one’s who taught us Electronics in 12th.

Sab bichad gaye aftr 12th for Degree College. πŸ™

I sat at the last bench throughout my schooling life. 2 Reasons: One I didn’t want to be seen by the teachers (throughout my 12 years of School not even once did I do my homework even 20% complete) and Second, because we used to play pen fight and WWF trump cards in the back benches.

Flunked in one subject in 9th and again in one subject in 11th and managed to clear them with what we use to call compartmental exams.
Surprisingly I scored great marks in 10th and decent marks in 12th (Thanks to CBSE board)

When I entered engineering college, I decided I will always sit at the front bench and never bunk a single lecture- both the rules were broken before half time of 1st day itself.– I bunked the entire second half of the day1 of college. πŸ˜€

Also failed regularly in college and kept on getting 60% marks until 6th semester..uske baad pata nahi kya hua,..but surprisingly passed engineering college with my final enginering cumulative score almost touching 80% – bhawaan jane kaise kya hua…But then it made realize Back Bench rocks in the long run.

            lol…

in school they forced me to sit within first 3 rows and god i hated that… last bench opportunity i got only during 10th and that too till my principle (she use to take social class) that loud mouthed teacher openly said to my school president in front of all students in a gathering in a common hall that ” XYZ (my name) type of people don’t study at home and they need to be pushed hard”, grr…. she totally fucked me though i never got less than 70% at school & then back to first row hence forth.

from 11th and 12th until my last day’s of Masters, i use to sit in last bench and i also realized that last benches rocks in the long run… most of my frnds who use to sit in last two rows from bachelors till masters are very successful in their careers as well as life.

But I hardly use to watch movies back then… it was all timepass affairs with frnds… Never liked spending money on movies not even now πŸ˜›

:blowkiss: on Pen-Fight’s and WWE/Pokemon Cards!
The Amount of time I have wasted on them is incomprehensible.

My School was very strict about Bunking and used to take attendance and results seriously(even though it was Maharashtra State Board and Not CBSE/ICSE).
We were given Bad Remarks and stuff for our Bad behaviour and I never ‘Bunked’ even a Single Lecture(forget 1 day) till 10th Standard.

But then it 11th, all hell broke loose as everyone had joined coaching classes and all knew that 12th was the important year and 11th was just a step-up.
Jo dhamaal kiye hain hume 11th main.! πŸ˜€

My mom never allowed me to go to theatres alone/with friends till 10th.

In 11th, in one particular month, I saw arnd 6 movies(including Dabangg, We are Family) at a ‘clean’ single screen near our college inside 20 days[Rs.60/Movie back in 2010]! πŸ™‚ πŸ˜€

          • FS 12 years ago

lol serenzy – my brother promised himself that he will never bunk a class for the year and will win the award for most regular student of the year.. Hell he went to school even when he was sick… Unfortunately that year and after that award was cancelled and he ended up bunking till 10th thereafter just to avenge his unfortunate desire πŸ˜‰

this is how office or schools should be bunked without getting noticed πŸ˜‰
