Saw it on my phone. Gives the feel of a nukkad natak type situation. Salman has totally rocked it. Totally. The choreography is fab. The song sounds the nukkad naatak type as well, a ditty with lyrics describing the social situation. A stylized social song. Bhai style. Kamaal kar diya pandeyji ne and Remo D Souza ne mil kar. I wish Wajid would not sing though.

Song is average – music is very very pedestrian (beats remind of Jalwa, which grew with time. Hope this one does too!), singing even more so. Lyrics are meant to awaken your conscience but fall slightly short. Its a little ironic seeing Salman in a branded avatar dancing to lines like “Gaon mein ab bhi sookha hai”. Nevertheless, intention and attempt is decent. Best part of the song is the choreography. Salman has never been a great dancer but he does have his unique style and carries off the song here as well. Although that kissing the screen at the end is completely out of sync with the song. Wish they remove that.
Song is good. Choreography is great. Salman is awesome. Music is fine… Damn the voice… Wajid?

Haha, gana to second class hai hi. But that statement is rich coming from someone who hailed songs like “party yunhi chalegi”, boss title song (hum na chose tode phode) and “o baawariya” as the next best things since sliced bread. 🙂
