American Made Review by Sputnik

Barry Seal, a TWA pilot, is recruited by the CIA to provide reconnaissance on the burgeoning communist threat in Central America and soon finds himself in charge of one of the biggest covert CIA operations in the history of the United States. The operation spawns the birth of the Medellin cartel and almost brings down the Reagan White House.

Decent movie but nothing great. It was entertaining and funny. There will obviously be comparisons to Narcos which also featured Pablo Escobar who is a minor character here.

Tom Cruise was very good as Barry Seal. Sarah Wright looked pretty as Lucy Seal but she was too young to be playing Cruise’s wife. Domhnall Gleeson was ok as Monty Schafer. Alejandro Edda was good as Jorge Ochoa. Mauicio Mejia was ok as Pablo Escobar. After watching Narcos its hard to accept any other actor as Pablo Escobar.

P.S. This was a comment I made in October 2017.
