  1. liked this version of the song a lot. it created some controversy recently.this song is the national anthem of Bangladesh ,and proper decorum wasn’t maintained while singing it . but i liked the way she sung it.

    This Marks the End of Ban on Indian Films in B’Desh… Bollywood will Shortly Release their Movies there like in Pakistan!

    1. i have read about it serenzy. but i think it is still in primary stage,more of a initiative . to lift the ban some laws have to be changed and i don’t see something like that happening anytime soon.and bigger problem is that most filmy ppl are against lifting the ban.they keep doing stupid protests whenever any rumor related to indian film release appear.i am sure with this initiative they will again start those. but i hope something positive happen this time

    There is another version of this interspersed with Magodhi (magadhi ??) lyrics (though it sounds more close to sanskrit)
    Many bangla pronounciations here too vary too much than whats in the script of the song (atleast as per song transcript-ed in English).

    Both are very much having western influence though. I would like to hear original song with local musical settings.

    1. yeah . it should be bhalo instead of valo . and the theko , thako basically has same meaning . but the song is so popular and in original lyric it is theko , so it sounds awkward.

      i agree on the western influence but i like these new sound arrangements ,sounds fresh .in case of rabindra sangeet i think this works . recently i have come across many rabindra sangeet with new sound arrangement and new way of singing which have become very popular,specially among youth. i would love to provide u link of some of the traditional folk song of Bangladesh .i think u would find them interesting. but YouTube is blocked here.i will try to access YouTube later and give u the links.
