haha,thats why i gave the timings to watch in particular.But Tom yum goong belongs to the genre of Bruce lee films , which are just an excuse to show off the action skills of the lead.The whole film is a series of great choreographed action sequences.I wish akshay did a full on remake of Tom yum goong and not give us glimpses of half baked scenes like in KI.Aside,I found KI a guilty pleasure mostly for Kareena.Never did she look so seducing .
Babji – Before showing his inspirational moves can you show any Akshay Kumar’s original moves? Most of his moves are inspired by Jakie chain, tony jha (as of recent films), bruce lee/jet lee or innumerable other chinese martial arts/kumfu starrer films. Even his CC2C – almost his training is copied from some chinese film. He has nothing original but yes he has best stamina and training to perform those stunts in movies atleast π
haha fs .agreed that most of his films are copied.CCTC was itself loosely inspired from Kung Fu Panda.Even though that was an animation film,it had far more serious moments than CCTC.Akshay ruined the training scenes bcos of his buffonery where he needed to show focus and urge.There is one “cosmic” kick scene at the bridge where akshay and his teacher fights several enemies .They were trying to show the “Dim Mak” effect but that stupid director shot it so poorly that it almost looked WTF.The film makes fun of China and Chinese ppl throughout the film.and doesnt mind disrespecting even kung fu.I think it rightly deserved to flop.
Babaji – Tony Jha was a revelation to Martial Art films but he ruined his last two films. The scene you uploaded is his second film which is the best of him and the third part had him showing combat skills using Sword and stick along with certain other lethal weapons. He lacks acting and dialogue delivery or else he would be more real and dangerous compared to Bruce Lee or Jackie chan.
fs – yes i have his 3 films ong bak 1,tom yum goong and ong bak 2 in my laptop.Ong bak 1 and tom yum goong are excellent action films and at par with the best in the genre both directed by Prachya Pinkaew.Both are well rated on imdb too π Later Tony and Prachya had fall out and Ong bak 2 was made by some other director .Unlike the other two,ong bak 2 is set in ancient times and that director didnt know how to use Tony jaa on screen.Some fight scenes were good but it is not a patch on the films made by Prachya.Same for Ong bak 3 which i didnt bother watching.It looked crap from the promos itself.But the good news is Tony is teaming up with prachya again for Tom Yum Goong – 2. Now this is a great news for all fans :D.
yes agreed about acting skills,actually in such films,u dont need to speak much.It is all about how spectacular you can look doing some unbelievable moves.Among the three,i think jackie chan is the best actor.I liked his acting in his recent Karate kid (2010) too.will post some fav scenes later.Bruce lee is of course the Boss who started it all at a mainstream level and opened the gates for such style and such genre. Tony Jaa is from the same clan of heroes and his fighting style is most modern and lethal among all 3.It is though a pity he has done so few films.

—– may be many (other artists) have broken their bones and other body parts as his moves and elbow or knee punches are much more real and dangerous to the other 3 (jet lee, jaki or bruce lee). I hope one day Michael Jai (undisputed 2 and blood and bone) and Tony Jha will be feature together and asked to combat each other for real. that would be hell of a film. These two are real masters in their profession.
I have seen only Never Back down 2 of Micheal Jai white.He also directed it.I enjoyed the film.He is well versed with many art forms.Certainly a fight between him and Tony Jaa will be worth watching.
