Abhishek looks fantastic. Now very fit (was bit plump earlier in last 3 years). I wont understand for my life the people who say he is Ugly and Hrithik is good looking whereas I have totally opposite opinion.

Abhishek is the most candid here too – when he talks about pressure from exhibitors/distributors/etc

Most funny part is when Uday starts speaking business in the end – Aamir and Abhishek expressions are like they are from other planet 😀 .

      Agree.

I watched the second video only and I too liked the part where both Aamir and Abhishek took on Anupama when she said “In the West”. She was talking about Brad Pitt and Aamir rightly pointed out World War Z.

Salman Khan is real No 1, Shah Rukh extremely charming: Aamir Khan

: Superstar Aamir Khan, who has been ruling Bollywood along with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan for over 20 years, says there is no secret formula behind their long and successful innings in the industry.

Aamir, who often draws comparison from the two Khans in terms of ranking and popularity, frankly acknowledged that Salman was the real number 1 star and more popular than him.

The 48-year-old actor, who became an overnight star with 1988 blockbuster `Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak`, agreed that the audience in India is star-obsessed but insisted same is not the case with the industry.

“I don`t think the industry is star obsessed. It is the audience who is star obsessed and it is not a bad thing at all. As an audience, I am also star obsessed. I am a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Shammi Kapoor. I have been star struck myself,” Aamir said in an interview here.

“I think an entertainer has a great role to play in the society and he is often underestimated. I don`t think any of us – Salman, Shah Rukh and me – know the secret to our longevity. I wish we knew it.”

The `Raja Hindustani` actor considers Shah Rukh Khan as a seasoned actor, who always brings a smile on viewers` faces.

“I think Shah Rukh is very well loved and fine actor. He is extremely charming and I love to see him on screen. It always brings a smile on your face when you see him,” Aamir said.

“I have liked him in films such as `Dilwale Dhulaniya Le Jayenge`, `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai`. I have heard good things about his work in `Chak De` but I haven`t seen it. It is one of the films that I want to watch. There are several other films of Shah Rukh that I have liked,” he added.

Aamir is known to be close to Salman and the two are often seen praising each other in public.

“There is always love and warmth in my heart for Salman. I am fond of him, I love him. I personally feel he is a bigger star than me. Because he has the ability to take a film on his shoulders… I don`t think I have that capability. I don`t have any hesitation in saying that.

“I think Salman manages everything, and according to me, (he) is the real number one,” he said.

Aamir and Salman have teamed up only once on screen – for
`Andaz Apna Apna` in 1994 – but have always expressed their desire to work again.

The `Lagaan` star also praised Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor, who is the Hindi film industry`s latest heartthrob.

“Sanjay Dutt was fantastic, entertaining in `Munnabhai` series. I liked Ranbir Kapoor in `Barfi`. I and Kiran (Aamir`s wife) were watching the film together and I asked her “what is it that he is doing and I am not. What I need to learn from him”.

Aamir, who is known for his meticulous planning, execution of roles and film production, said he feels happy when movies of his contemporaries do well at the box office.

He appreciates good work of others. “Good work gives me joy. And it does not matter that it is not mine. I don`t have that kind of competitive spirit in me.”

The `Taare Zameen Par` director said stars have a limited influence on the box office outcome, but beyond a point it is the film and its content that matters.

“Stars have the potential to influence the first three days of the number of people coming in theatres… Beyond that we don`t have any influence.

“A lot of people attribute the success of `3 Idiots` to me… (But) it is not my film it is (director) Raju Hirani`s film. No film runs on the strength of the star alone.

“I think if a film is not good enough I won`t be able to make a mark for myself. When a film is good, it does good business,” Aamir added

In the third installment of the Dhoom series, Abhishek and Uday are reprising their roles as Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar, respectively, while actors Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif form the antagonist duo.

“Dhoom is my film and I am the hero. Nobody can take that away from me. You can be the biggest or the smallest star but Dhoom is about Jai and Ali. It is as simple as that. If the characters of Jai and Ali are not there in Dhoom, the film won’t be there,” Abhishek said.

There were reports that Abhishek was not happy with the way the film was being promoted.

“You should ask the people who decide the marketing strategy which evidently isn’t me. It is my film and wherever they ask me to come I will. Obviously, I want to stand by it. If they feel there are certain events where they don’t want me to be around, what can I do about that. Do I feel bad for it? No, I don’t give attention to these things,” he said.

Aamir Khan, who plays the baddie in Dhoom: 3, seems to have been following the mantra of less is more as far as promotions are concerned. And Abhishek agrees with it considering ‘Dhoom’ is a popular franchise in itself.

“I think it matters from case to case. In a film like Dhoom, I think it doesn’t need any stars. It doesn’t need Aamir, me and Uday. Dhoom has become a franchise in itself, you can have newcomers and it will do great,” Abhishek said.

Abhishek said Dhoom has become a brand in itself and there is no need to go out and promote the film aggressively.

With the focus this time more on Aamir, Junior Bachchan does not feel sidelined, as he is a constant feature in the film.

“Why should I feel sidelined? I am in the film, you can’t take me out. The audience doesn’t care whose film it is. Till date, one of the greatest film was Amar Akbar Anthony where you had all the big heroes – dad, Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor and others. It was everybody’s film,” Abhishek said.

Walking down memory lane, Abhishek said Dhoom was his first successful film and he made some wonderful friends.

“When we started Dhoom nobody thought it will be this monster that it is today. At that time, we were trying something new. I remember that time Adi saying to redefine the action genre, let’s make it cool and make something young, have bikes and nice songs. Nobody knew that it is going to have a sequel. It has always been fun to be working on this franchise,” the actor said.

When his attention was drawn to Uday Chopra’s comment that Dhoom: 3 would be his last film as an actor, Abhishek said he will convince his actor friend if the fourth part in this hit franchise were to be made.

“Uday had stopped acting since quite some time. It was in 2010 when he took the decision to move to LA and become producer. He has just come here to do Dhoom: 3 because the character Ali is close to his heart. If Dhoom 4 happens, I will get him to do it,” Abhishek added.
